LOL...You say that because you missed my first rant...but I do feel better after unloading.
I had the professor ship my canopy on the cheap...the more expensive price said delivery will be 10 to 14 days...so I am counting how long the cheaper shipping takes. I bet it's the same or right in the ball park. Anyone want to make a guess on the actual delivery day????
It was shipped Saturday the 11th of August...I guess the date of 23rd.
August 21st.

Flower, are you going to post pictures here when it's received and on the tank?? :)
What no guess as to when it will arrive? 21st and 23rd are taken.....
Yep...you know the rules, if you don't show a picture it didn't happen. I will post a picture of the tank with and without a canopy to compare.
I just realized that I have my hoses leading into the tank from the chiller on that corner toward the window, so I need to move them to the back, so the canopy can sit on that edge. It's a minor thing and yet my energy level is so low I just dread having to mess with it. I may have to lengthen the hoses which means a trip to the hardware store.
Still...it will give me something to do while I wait for it to be delivered.

Here are the pictures...It looks awesome. LOL...it could stand to shaved just a breath...it is a VERY tight fit....but it fit!
Thank you Seth, it's beautiful! It makes my tank look so good. Excuse the overgrowth, I need to harvest my macros again.

Glad it fit... I gave it an extra 1/4" in length. I'm surprised it's such a tight fit.
When you put it back together, you may notice some small color differences on the sides where the boards join together. I don't know if you want to or not, but I wouldn't be offended if you did touch it up with some black paint. :D

It looks good to me. I'm bad at measures...those tiny little lines between the inches are hard to count, and I even had my reader glasses on. It's tight (I had to tap it into place a little at a time) and it might be a battle for me to remove it...so LOL...it might be permanently attached because I don't want to wrestle it off and take chance on damaging it. As far as I'm concerned it looks great, and there it can stay.
Thank you so much, you did a good job.

Thanks. So sorry it's tight. I guess I should have done 1/2".
Seth, the ONLY thing I was responsible for in the entire build was the measurements...so take a guess as to who messed up...LOL..because of you adding that little extra, it fits, and I couldn't be happier. My tank looks just the way I want it to...
If I ever want something built again, I will get a measureing tape and mark the spot with a marker and let the builder figure out what the notch on those tiny lines mean. As far as this build...you did great.

Nice. Well, thank you very much. Pass the word if you can. I think I am going to keep this small business going until I get out of college. Maybe after that too. I'm enjoying it a lot and it is using a lot of the skills that I enjoy.

I wish you lived closer. I don't get out much to be able to spread the word.....but the folks on the site sure has seen the stuff you can do. LOL, I can't be the only one on the site that can't do it myself.
I would like to start another tank if I can figure out where to put it and what size, for a seahorse fry tank... I just don't know how to go about having you make a stand for me to put together, or I would sure have you do it for me.
People who can work with wood builds are needed everywhere, from fish tanks stands to cabinets for the kitchen, as a side job you could make plenty of money. It's all a matter of how much time and energy you have.

I'm sure I can build a seahorse fry stand for you. :D Depends on how tall you need it and how big the tank is, really. Anyways, we'll talk about it when the time comes. XD

Well, I do believe I can raise BBS for Kuda fry...I don't think I have enough copepods or be able to breed enough of them to keep the potbelly fry going. I am a little concerned with how to do a filter system that won't suck up the little horses and the added worry of keeping them from getting stuck at the top of the tank. I need that nice vertical swirl for water movement.
I do have lots of copepods (are copepods too large) in the Kuda tank...I wonder if I could fix the filter enough and manage the water movementright, if the Kuda fry could remain with the adult horses....that would be ideal.
WOW! I'm sitting in my bedroom/office typing, and happen to notice that my tank is near silent...I hear a little dripping if I listen for it, and I checked...all is well. Apparently when I moved the stuff in the back to make room for the chiller hoses so the canopy could be placed, I fixed something....YAY me....LOL

I mean, if you are really serious about breeding seahorses and being successful with it, you mise well get the right equipment to breed them.
Kreisels can be extremely expensive if you buy a commercialized unit - however, they can be extremely cheap if you DIY.
