Acrylic, i have a long drive ahead of me and I dont want to leave your place at noon, which will probably happen anyway, and get in to Flower's place at 11 pm. Not sure how long the setup time will be but I dont want to be working that late on a night I drive for 17 or so hours. If worse comes to worse and Al makes a piece and you make a piece, I could go to buffalo and pick that piece up on friday afternoon and then drive to your place friday evening. Find a place to stay and then drive saturday to illinois and get in around 6 pm. then set things up and leave saturday night and find a place to stay in Toledo saturday night, maybe. I dont know really. I would have to sit and think about it and find out the schedule of the missus to work it all out.
Flower, if my wife came with me, that would also mean that our 2 kids and 3 dogs would be coming too! you want all of us in your place? LOL The wife would have to stay at home to watch the little ones as well as the dogs.
If I do make the drive, I will use some kind of soap/paint on my car's windows stating that it is carring precious cargo. Let me know whats going on and who is doing what with expected completion dates so I can sneak a peak at the appointment book and find out when I can make the drive if needed.

Um, okay, how come tonight was the first time I heard about any of this? I hate long car rides, I mean HATE long car rides and long car rides with two small children, um, no thanks LOL. Even with the DVD player in the car. They barely made the 5 hour drive to Hershey without driving me insane with the "are we there yet?" or "when will we get there?" or "how much longer?". I would much rather send hubby solo on this long trip. Besides, my one dog Lady is not doing well and not fit to travel. She's unable to get up without assistance and losing weight rapidly. But take hubby for as long as you need him, I think he needs a break from being stay at home daddy for a bit. And I'm sure he won't miss the cat fur making him sneeze and eyes water.

If Hubby shows up here on a Saturday night he has a room here to stay in and can head out in the morning after a nice breakfast.
Cats make him sneeze but not dogs..

P.S.
Monsinour,
There is no way you are going to drive all that way and then try to set this up. I have a nice leather recliner you can rest in, we call it the cloud....and I will set it up myself and you can be there to lend a hand if I need it. Don't argue with me about it because I NEED to learn how to do this, Corey and Shawn went to allot of trouble to make the plumbing easy and teach me how it works so I can set it up.
I would feel more secure with you there just in case, but hopefully you can rest and be the overseer.

Its the cat dander that does it to me. Pugs, boxers, and other dogs with that fur makes my skin irritated when I play with them. I am more of a doer than a watcher. GL keeping me away from setting this up, LOL.
It seems like I got the OK to do all this driving so tell me when and where and I am off like a herd of turtles.

Oh man I have to get you some surgen gloves, Tami won't let you get away with no petting, we will all be deaf ffom hearing her objections.
LOL...Al and Shawn have to get materials, then build them. If they need the money from the UPS claim before getting started I don't know. Some of the folks on the site have offered to help, so I have no idea if they have enough funds to be able to start.
It should go a little faster since they have the measures already, and IF and I do mean IF they can start right away, like this coming weekend..... I'm thinking mid towards the end of December MAYBE, Thanksgiving day is next week so that weekend is a no go for sure.
I see UPS saying everything but "I will cut you a check" I can't believe they are jerking around even their own employee, I can't imagine what treament the average Joe gets..

Well, my parents come up for the holidays on the 26th and will be leaving shortly there after. It might have to wait until after they leave or get it done before they get here. Need to get a time frame to mark out the days in the appointment book.

In UPS's eyes we are all average "joes"......employees or not....it's all about $$$$$$. They would sell their own mother to make the shareholders profit. That's the bottom line.....With that said!!!! I have briefly spoken with Al and we are still trying to coordinate things between ourselves, but as Flower knows that when we spoke this afternoon, I was headed over about materials.....I have ordered the materials to rebuild, and Matt said should be ready mid week, but work schedule is tight mid week, but will definitely have them in my garage Friday morning, and Saturday the building will begin!!!!!!!
Gonna pull some long hours, but should be flow tested and ready Wednesday before Thanksgiving......
Monsinour have you figured out what the totally mileage would be round trip? I will PM you for more specific questions.....
Again I have to Thank everyone for the unwavering support......Man!!!! it's just hard to believe a simple hobby such as this can pull so many people together to get something done.....Hopefully at some point I will have some other good news to share with everyone here, but I have to wait and see what I receive, but Meowzer I did send the PM, and got a PM back today......You might still be a little fuzzy, but excellent advice

Again anyone that can contribute, you guys can forward donations to: shwncbb@paypal.com. Again any and all help will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!

I googled what it would take to convert my wood doors to glass..
.I had no idea how hard that is..I'm going to wait until I have some cash flow and buy two doors from lowes or something along those lines.

It's expensive? I thought it would be fairly simple. Is the expensive part the glass? I want to do this for my cabinets too and know someone that cuts glass and can get me some pieces. If It's cheap I can ask him to cut you some pieces too if you want to send me your measurements?

It's is simple to open the doors up.... both of you guys post some pics of your stand doors, and let's take a peek.....I wouldn't use glass in the kitchen or on the stand....Cabinets getting slammed and doors on stand getting hit, or slammed, and you have issues. The good ole clear or you can get a light gray smoked acrylic or whatever depending what your looking for....I went with smoked, and was going to backlight the cabinets, but haven't gotten that far yet......
