I'd be frustrated too, I can't believe someone would drip acclimate a coral. And I'd also go with the "no refund for drip acclimation problems" policy.

Floated for 45? Oye, I can't even stand to float for 5 minutes if the water feels ok. Usually it goes right in my tank.

I can imagine exactly what happened... he had his lights on full blast and that cooked the coral in the bag :(

ouch man that sucks i wouldnt have refunded the money, i had an acan shipped to me it arrived with no water just wrapped in wet paper, and i put it directly in my tank and its AWESOME, like the above said he probably cooked it when he floated it.

I have gotten acans that way..but no wet paper just in a small bag with about 1ml of water in there. and the acan was shipped during middle of the summer and no problems with it. I am at a loss on what exactly happened. I already gave him back the money for the acan minus the cost of shipping

last time I checked planes have heat and they dont store the cargo on the outside of the hull.
he asked why no cold pack as well.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has uncovered
“temperature ranges in the cargo hold from zero to
104 degrees reported in a single flight.”
Just a little info from the FAA on cargo area temps.
I'm certainly not saying it's your fault. Just offering possibilities. The baked coral theory sounds most logical to me. After 20 hrs in the same bag is 45 mins really going to make that big of a difference. Dripping it while floating under halides...that I will go for.

people overnight frags all the time..I highly doubt that is the issue..anyway he said the bag was warm...it wasnt cold

So much anger on this thread! lol
By the way, 05xrunner, I just got two shipments in this morning, and BOTH packages were dripping water when I received them

In total I had about 10 frags arrive out of water.
Fortunately, I may be able to save them, except for my Tyree (rolling on the floor with irony). Good thing I didn't drip acclimate them

I have found that wrapping the bag that contains the coral with small bubble wrap about 4 times making sure all sides are wrapped makes for good insulation. Much better than styrofoam and also helps to cushion against carriers tossing around. Just thought I would mention that.

that sux but what sux even more is the fact that you won't ship anymore. You have awesome frags and I have been wanting to buy some of your frags.
I don't get all mushy and wimpy but I wish you would reconsider your decision. You do have nice stuff that I would like to get into my tanks
