ok, so all didn't quite go as planned. I did mow the lawn, thank god! but it was like 8:00 and it was quite dark outside, so the next morning i looked at it again... :scared: but it rained for a good part of the rest of the weekend, so i couldn't fix it... lol. Then saturday i worked, joe and i did see a movie. The illusionist. It was AMAZING!!! i absolutely loved it, even though it was completely predictable from the beginning, it was one of those that you didn't care if you knew exactly what was going to happen. Then he gave me all of my anniversary presents cause he couldn't hold it in anymore. Lemme tell you something about joe... he's romantically challenged... i had to buy him a book for it "101 inexpensive romantic ideas for the average guy" lol. i told him he had to get me something thoughtful... he got me a jewelry box with "to the best wife in the world" etched in it. It was the most thoughtful thing he's ever done! He also got me some funny items: a spongebob calendar, a book called "folding towels 101"... shows you hot to make cute animals out of towels. This was particularly sweet. we went on a cruise for our honeymoon, and they made some different animals out of towels. i loved them, and learned how to do it, only i forgot... he remembered this from 2 years ago!!! I'm so proud! He also got me this statue thing that is so frickin funny!!! i'll have to take a pic. It says "love never dies" on a gravestone, and it has a statue of two skeletons... one in a tux and one in a veil with a boquet. The man is holding the woman, and they're touching tongues... HAHAHA! it's amazing!
joe revealed to me on friday that he wants to have kids in a year... AAAHHHH!!! :scared: i don't mind at all! I'm actually thrilled. but he had his mind set on never wanting to have kids, and then he just springs this on me with no warning! WTH????
then sunday was church, dinner at gramma's (ribs, potatos and corn... mmmmmm) and then painting my room. The color is fabulous!!! I'm not done yet, though. I still have a portion of a wall and the ceiling to go.
so i guess most went according to plan... that was my weekend.

the rest of the day is a blur due to #1 childs confirmation retreat and getting house and food ready for 5 pm birthday party for 2nd child bday dinner.
(ribs
potato casserole and salad )

I went through that last April for my son's 9th birthday. Never again!! He has already been told absolutley no more sleepover parties! Eight boys running around beating each other up for hours on end, and nothing would make them stop. I felt like slipping some Benadryl into the cake to knock them all out! It's so obvious they are going to be men! When my girls have sleepovers you don't even know they are here.
I hear girls are much harder as teenagers though... :
