My eel loves squid, that's his all time favorite food. Goes really nuts for it.
Well, I tried squid and it went right after it!
I'm really glad that this fella is eating so well. And it's starting to become more relaxed too. Once I feed it a krill/shrimp/or squid, it has started coming out looking for more food. I love this fish. I think it's my favorite so far..

I forgot to an update. Unfortunately my striped dogface puffer died. It had a large area on it's nose that was suspicious for infection. I never found out for sure what it was, but whatever it was - it wasn't good. The fella was doing great - eating fine and all, very active... but then all of a sudden died. Oh well, so things go.
Here's one last pic to remember my pimpled puffer.

Thanks guys.
Well, to chear things up, I got two more of my list to show you guys today!
I was going to wait a bit longer before adding, but they are quite small and I don't think they'll cause much of a spike.
I got a Blonde Naso Tang and a Lunare Wrasse.
The naso is maybe 3 inches and the lunare is about 2.5.
Here's the Lunare - I love this one - very active and quite beautiful:

Here's the Blonde Naso - Not much color yet, but he'll get it eventually!!

Here's the Naso and Hippo... they've become quick friends!

Thanks for the compliments everyone! I sure like them too! Now I just can't wait to see them mature - especially the blonde naso. Is it too early to tell if this naso is a male or female? It doesn't have any evidence of where streamers will be. Does tht mean it's a female or is it way too early to tell?

You can tell be streamers. If I am correct you will not be able to tell until it is about 6 inches.

I was looking at the sand you have for my tank, and just wanted to know how you like it.

Good, I was starting to get worried. I'm hoping for a male of course. But it's only about 3 in, so I guess it'll be a while before I find out!

I love it! Caribsea seaflor special grade. I have the fine oolite sand in my 55 reef. Man, do I wish that I had known the difference then. The sand looks great and it seems to be less prone to the sandstorm that sometimes happens when the oolite is disturbed. And as I mentioned, it was only $135 total for 165lbs.

Good Choices Hef...Sorry about Puffer...I love Lunares, they get a bit of a bad rep. mine was rather well behaved, and the Blond Naso is a good one too, you have 2 of the most mild mannered Tangs IMO...Now maybe time to add an Acanthurus Tang down the road?

definitely a possibility kjr trig. Actually you are the reason that I have an interest in them. I've followed your thread and thus read about the acanthurus. I love the achilles, but its probably too much fish for my tank. But there's many others. So yup, definitely a possibility!

Well, I did my first post-fish level check today... and I'm surprised that I haven't got much of a bump yet, especially with how much the eel eats.
My levels are:
NO3: < 5
NO2: 0
NH3: 0.25
PO4: < 0.25
pH: 8.2
So I'm hoping they won't go up much more!
