i want to start off with easy care items and build from there. i've been reading the site on different corals but i wont make a decision until the tank is ready.

Well you can get Current brand T5 bulbs for about $11-$12 each....they are not the favored brand, but if you are just starting out, you can always upgrade your bulbs later....

i dont mind spending money on the good bulbs now if they help the tank in the long run. one thing i've learned is this isnt a cheap hobby and i havent even filled my tank yet!

LOL...SOOO TRUE.
Well when you decide a little more what you want in it, you can look further into the bulbs

he has in his tank Orange zoas, Hairy Mushroom, Xenia and small toadstoal, Green zoas, Single Ric Green with Pink mouth

well guys i decided to take your advice and buy a bigger tank. best part about it was its $100 bucks and its drilled. 90 gallons. can someone recommend to me what type of light setup i would need for a nice reef tank. i am going to put my 55 in the bottom for sump.
