Lovely fish you got there -I'm a zebra lion fan. I have one in my 90 and it is such a puppy dog. I can always feel it watching me! I trained mine to frozen in a separate tank while in QT - and I guess I did a pretty good job...the other day while I was feeding my other fish some green peas...it ate one..I fully expected it to get spat out and disgust but he swallowed it up!
Good luck with the frozen training.

I've never used a training basket..... I'm not a good one to evaluate it.

I was not aware of that, thank you. That was one thing I wouldn't have thought to check out when it is part of a clean up crew package.
I have no idea why people sell them. I once thought it was because they didn't know... and for some I'm sure it's still true. But I've told peeps, "Hey, why are you carrying a cold water snail?" They seem surprised and concerned.... and yet they still keep them in stock.
Peeps still sell Bumble Bee snails as part of a CUC package too.

I've been told Bumble Bee snails would be good to have. What are the reasons they shouldn't be part of a CUC?

BB snails are actually predatory whelks that feed on much of the beneficial fauna (including small snails) in your tank. they don't touch algae at all. Nassarius
would be a much better choice, as they will eat carrion and uneaten food.

Zebra knows the net already, the minute I drop it in there he goes in it to get the food, but I have only gotten him to take one piece of raw shrimp cut up, mostly he just looks for the live shrimp among the raw and eats it. I might have to wait 3 days before the next feeding so that he is nondiscriminatory. He also shed his cuticle.

The good news is, the place refunded my money back, so this guy was free, the bad news is, I don't get my fu manchu yet.

And I'll be honest, this little guy/girl is really growing on me. Very pretty fish.
Well congrats on the new addition....even tho it wasn't what you wanted.....
Can you still get the FU and put it in the same tank???

Probably, but I don't want to be weaning 2 fish at the same time especially were the fu is so hard. That and I buy bulk orders to avoid shipping costs and don't really wanna pay 60 or 70 bucks for the fish right now, which would be the cost of the fish and shipping.
