LoL at the tang police!

Thanks all for your help. Lesson learned! Midas Blenny looks real interesting. I'll try to find one at the LFS today when i bring the tang back.

once you return those fish you can look into a long nose hawk fish, they are cool fish that get along with almost anything. I would also return those 3 damsels, theres really no point to them in a 46g. Then you could also add a nice purple fishfish, maybe a coral beauty.

UPDATE:
Thanks for everyone's help! I returned the tang today and got a full store credit. After looking around for more than an hour, I decided to go with a purple FireFish!

Here are a few pics. The FireFish is still acclimating (only turned on the lights for the photo).

Nice.
If you do still decide you want the Midas as well. Be very careful with the firefish. Some Midas are fine, others harass the firefish. Hope you have a cover on your tank, firefish are prone to floor surfing!
Good luck with your new (and much better suited) addition.

Thanks!
I was looking for a red Midas but couldn't find one. Maybe if I ever come across a red one I'd probably pick it up.
the Firefish is in the tank now and hiding. The Angel doesn't even realize it's there!
Hopefully it'll come out and play soon.

A red what? Firefish? You can't. They'll fight.
It'll hide for awhile. They're shy fish for quite some time.
If your angelfish harasses this fish as well. You're going to have an issue with any new addition to your tank, so let me know how it goes. Good luck.

sorry to hear about your red star. I was told red stars are very hardy. My tank is ~ 5 month old and got the star about 1 month ago. So far it's doing great! I was surprised how much they like to move around!

I think I'm the only one who threw two stars in her tank from day one and they're still alive a year later. My only complain is they are like two horny teenagers left home alone!
