It is the EXACT reason I am SO glad I found u guys here!!!!!!!
PS...I fed frozen mysis this morning and BOTH seemed interested but I was too freaking busy getting kids off to school to really sit and watch but it looked good from what I saw!!
That sounds awesome!! If you can get these guys converted to frozen, you're well on your way to getting them healthy!! Again, awesome!!
In rethinking your question about putting in other horses...as Darth said, my hesitation would be that these guys are wild caught...know what I mean? Parasites...diseases...infections that captive bred would not have been exposed to. I wonder if there is someone who would know of the safest way to introduce new livestock into that tank. If there is a way?

I don't know either...all info points toward bad idea, however, I did purchase a wc false perc for my tb perc to teach it what a anemone was. But seahorses are much more susceptible to dieaseases...

Hmmmm...you may just be looking at a 75gal tank dedicated to the horses that you rescued out of the goodness of your heart...I would like to be the first to say, quite a dedication. THANK YOU!!

They are WELL worth it! It is much better having them in there than just the rock.

So I will start turning back into a reef just for my boys!
Oh and I a name has not been decided yet, I just call him handsome or sweetie

And another thing, if this tank is JUST for them, it gives me a GREAT reason to bring down the 44 flatback hex I just got!!! LOL I would have to give Josh puppy eyes to set UP a 4th tank

We just sold a 44gal pent today
.......not my idea.......but it was a guy Josh works with. Just gives me a reason to upgrade to a newer more modern style! Hehe

Very true

I am very sad to say that despite my best efforts, both of my boys have passed. I really thought they were hanging in there. Valient passed first which was very surprising b/c he was in better shape....the day before he was up & around, I had never seen him so active. Then the following day I got home from work and he was gone. My other guy passed 3 days later, I kinda expected it at that point b/c his condition had always been worse. They are very missed but at least they had a nice home and a family that loved them.

Can somebody help me with the "garlic soaking"..
I have an H erectus introdueced to a tank 4 days ago. nh3 0 no2 0 no3 5ppm
she stays tightly attached to the bottom of the plastic palnt and never leaves. Her color is good...she may be breathing fast but I'm not really sure what normal rate is....she won't eat any frozen mysis even when placed right at her snout with a tube. I am going to try live brine in the am but thought I might give the garlic method a try...how is it done?
thanks in advance

Im sorry but you may want to start a post asking for advise....2 of my horsed just died and i'm not interested in crying while I type instructions on how to feed. I'm sorry if that seems rude but I am mourning a loss
