Hey all,
after 25 years out of the hobby, I've jumped back in. I have a 20L nano that I set up in the last few months.
Back when I did this last, I ran a pet shop, and we were just learning about lighting and drip filtration. Actinic bulbs were only available from specialty lighting shops, protein skimmers were in their infancy, and nobody knew about phosphate or RO/DI.
I'm a big crustacean fan - mostly shrimp - which I have a number of.
This is a great forum. I've learned a lot in the last couple weeks of lurking here.
I'll post pics of my tank as soon as I can figure out my new camera.
Thanks for all the posts - excellent stuff!
Regs,
Emil

Pygmy's tail is shredded in this pic, but I got it outta the LFS tank where it was getting beat up. A risk, I know, but hadda do it. It's tail's since grown back and doing great :)
Sorry, the Harlequin pic is all outta focus - she's gorgeous and a mean nasty vampire... She chases the 4 times her size Sally Lightfoot off and it's seriously scared of her :)

Thanks all

This thing has given it her approval too

Makin' up a bucket of RO/DI for water change at the moment. Machine only puts out 5gpd, so it's pretty much an all day thing.
My water's really soft to start with, and the filters make it even softer. Anyone else finding they gotta add Kalk to bring the KH up with new water? If I don't, my KH is around 7-7.5 w/ freshly made up water (using Oceanic salt, btw.)
Thx,
Emil

However there is absolultly no room for any more cat pictures on the site. Tha should be your last post with a picture of it. I believe it has something to do with Meowzer abusing the privelage. Talk to Mod Crimzy about it if you have questions........

She's not, actually. She's evil
not that I don't love that about her...

No worries - it will. She doesn't swim so well anyway.
