High quality cameras

Ok I found out myself by asking a photographer at a miss universe qualifying pagent. One would want a marco lens for a canon rebel or better

Canon 100mm f 2.8 1:1 macro lens (if you're a Canon fan, like Renee/Cranberry). That lens will run you about $500 or so, but it really does a nice job.

Lois,
Sandy Claws brought that lens to Renee back awhile.
Getting good glass is what really makes a difference in your photos, and it is indeed an investment. Renee has been looking at the Canon L-series lenses...check out the prices on THOSE! I think the one she wants is about $1300!

Meow, I guess you didn't realize that the camera was the cheap part huh? lol
You should see some of those super size telephoto lenses...some of those things go for upwards of $12,000.

NO COREY...i am very disappointed to say that I had no idea.....apparently the things I was looking at were not lenses...LOL...cause I saw them for like $50.....I think they were just rings that held the lenses on

I am going to have to deal with the one that came with it.....NO WAY I can dish out another $500 right now, BUT...PLEASE keep your eyes open (since you guys live in real towns) for anyone that may be selling one cheap haha

oh yeah Meowzer the Lenses are the most expensive part of the camera I have a Cannon 50mm f1.8 Lens and that cost me $150.00 and I also have a Cosina 28-80mm Lens that I have never used and I can not remember how much that cost me.. LOL I had a few others that I had but sold them to a friend that does photography..

Oh nice! That's a great choice.
LOl...Greg said you were a fan of these....Actually in the photo section I had asked for suggestions....Joe told me to check out the Rebel....they were about $650
I was gonna buy it, and I got a message saying the Canon rebel upgraded to the XS...whatever....LOL...and there was a special for $479....HECK I bought it really fast
BUT, now I am trying to figure it out here and there, and just found out that lenses cost more than the camera
....still better then what I had though :)

I had the 50mm lens.... it was very nice. I then went with the f1.4 and love it even more.
Yes the 50mm Lens is awesome its a great all purpose lens, some of the pics that I told that I posted in Meowzer's thread were taken with that with a lens attachment. I also had another cosina lens that I used before I sold it to my friend that was an awesome lens. The cosina lens I still have that has never been used and still is in the box she didn't buy because she had already had the same lens its a 28-80mm MC Marco lens..
