I have 3 tangs in my 225g tank. 1 Sailfin, 1 yellow and 1 blue hippo...The sailfin has a line and some markings that look sort of similar to the hlle pics...BUT they also look similar to all tang pics I see. My tangs are by all means not thin, they are growing steadily, and eat well. I feed various foods:
FROZEN: marine cuisine, emerald entree, spirulina w/brine, angel & butterfly cubes, brine, mega marine, formula two.
Flake: Formula two & O.S.I marine aquarium flake food
Pellets: Formula two, Spectrum Thera+A, Boyds Vita Diet
I also add green marine algae sheets for snacks.
I add zoecon, garlic extreme & selcon
My water parameters are all excellent.....AM I Missing something?
Do these fish need something I am not giving them? Please let me know cause if it is HLLE, by what I have read, there is no real cure except for proper nutrition.
Well I was going to attach pictures, but for some reason it won't work so I'll have to do it later.

What problem are you having posting pictures? The pictures have file size requirements which you can see when hit the attachment button.

I read that right before I posted my original question...The fish do not seem stressed at all..they actually are very playful, I use very little carbon,
Is it possible I do not have enough algae in my tank? What did you think of my list of foods?

Fish suffering from beginning stages of HLLE do not usually appear stressed. Any carbon could be a factor, so I'd eliminate that for now. You will need to go through a process of elimination to determine the cause. Water quality, carbon, ungrounded tank, high nitrates, lack of appropriate nutrition, etc.
Start using zoecon in at least on meal.

I just checked water....ammonia 0, nitrite-0, nitrate-0, ph 8.2, alk 3mel,
I have been using zoecon...One drop on food each morning per instructions....after looking at the foods I feed in my original post, should I add anything? Also, what about the lack of algae in my tank...could that be a cause?

They should be offered algae sheets daily for grazing, if you are not doing that already. The menu you provided sounds pretty balanced, but do add the algae sheets.

The funny thing is I just recently started with the selcon, zoecon and algae sheets...is the grren algae sheets sufficient.....I sure do not want to lose these fish...they have grown so much too.

No, that I do not have. But yesterday I sat with all my wires and made sure that all the items in the tank were at least plugged into the gfci type outlets. What kind of probe would you suggest?

OK, I looked up a probe...questions: All I do is put this probe in my tank and plug it in?? Then what? Is it going to do something?? Tell me something?? Sorry to ask so much, but I just am not sure what this probe does, and would like to understand.

OK, I looked it up...I get it now (I hope) I am going to order one online, hopefully I will have it in a week...As an answer to vkuroczka...I read it can go in either tank or sump...

Beth, I received some ZOE that I ordered the other day cause the zoecon says to use it with zoe....will that help? I am ordering my probe tonight.
