Wow, sweet clam meo, can i ask how much it really was?
Sure....It was on sale for $144
LOL...I think the tangs are a little intimidated by it.....I know I am ...haha
The tank is a little cloudy due to all the moving of stuff, but clearing quick....I am very pleased with the "maxima"
I know you can't see this well, but we placed the blue bottlebrush in an out of the way place...REASON....it has to light acclimate, and the spot it is in now is temporary, and it will not get picked on (I HOPE) Tomorrow or the next day, I will move it higher a little bit

Calcium!
Some people claim they need to be "fed". I do not believe so if they're in an established tank. I do add rotifiers to my tank once a week, so I guess that's when mine "eat". Good lighting and good calcium levels and you should be fine.

I heard from a local reefer that when they are small they are almost fully dependant on light and when they are big they are almost fully dependant on filter feeding and not so much light anymore.
I don't know if that is true.
I also jsut saw a video yesterday of Julian Sprung's tank at his house and he has a big clam in there that he says he uses as a natural filtration system since he doesnt have very much rockwork in his tank.

Man that thing is a monster in the tank. Looks great! Hey is that a star that I saw in one of those pics?
Off topic but I want one. They reef safe? Just dont know anything about them. Thought I read that the blue ones are not reef safe. Im probably wrong.
What do you all think about a Maxima under T-5s ? Could I get away with it doing a very high placement?
YUP...I have an orange linckia....had it since July
