The only reasons I can think of for the use of lemon juice is Vitamin C, acids to help the fish digest their food better, and tastes better?

prevents the degredation of vitamin c. you could also use powdered ascorbic acid supposedly, but who doesnt have lemon juice in their fridge?

You can squeeze your own lemon juice for the fish food instead of buying the bottled lemon juice right?

Would mandarin fish eat foods prepared with garlic?
I just set up a new mandarin tank and they have only eaten the live food like I expected, but I heard some aquarists have had some success with frozen and prepared foods.
Just wondering.
Thank you!

People do put garlic juice to entice the fish to eat. But it doesn't always work.
