I guess if you live in an area where you can't get a decent sandwich you are forced to go to crappy places like su
ay huh? I never understood how they can stay in business around here when you can't travel more than a mile in any direction without finding a deli that can make sandwiches infinitely better than the garbage they peddle at su
ay and Blimpie...
I've got a place within walking distance from my house where I can get my all time favorite which is hot roast beef, bacon, melted provolone, lettuce, onion, tomato, and ranch dressing on a garlic hero. Cholesterol heaven, but man is it good!

Turkey on white, American cheese, toasted...
Lettuce, tomato, hot peppers, mushrooms, black olives, sometimes cucumbers (sometimes not), and the all important topper...Southwest sauce

How in the world do you not have a local su
ay. That is like the new Dairy Queen for the rural south, every small town has at least one.

LOL...Do you think I was kidding when I said we have NOTHING here

The closest one is 14 miles (from work)...I don't consider that local for a lunch hour...or that would be 30 miles from home.

I have su
ay every once in awhile, if you think about it, it's alot better than the crap you get at Mcdonalds or burger king or any similar garbage.

+1 Publix subs are great. Used to get the Boar's Head Ulimate all the time. But now the Buffalo Chicken tender sub. White, mayo, chopped, Swiss, and both sauces (mild, hot).
The pic is from lunch
Of course, it's not as good as the Cheesesteak from the local joint, but that's 25mins away.
(Note, not a 6", the other half is gone already
)

Publix makes a really good Sub, I miss the East Coast for that....The Piggly Wiggly grocery stores in the Charleston area match them as well....We used to go from work to the Pig or Publix once a week.
If Sub-way, I usually do the BMT...light lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers, onion, olives, spicy mustard, maybe mayo depending on the day.

Turkey and ham on italian herbs and cheese bread. Lettuce, mayo, black olives, oil, salt and pepper, and giardinera on half of it. Definitely not toasted.
On a side note, do you all have giardinera at your su
ays because I was on vacation in Boynton Beach and I asked for some and the people there looked at me like I was crazy! In case you dont know what it is it's chopped up jalapenos, carrots, cellery, and cauliflower (kinda like a really spicy relish).
