They generally won't bother other tankmates, but if you get stung it is much worse than a bee sting.

so it would be perfectly safe to put in with a yellow tang ?
if your tank is big enough then they'll be fine together. their poison can be deadly to people if the person that gets stung has a bad reaction, but usually its just really painful. they say to soak the sting in a bucket of hot water for 30 min.

Sometimes the sting can be deadly....HMMMM...I'd skip the lionfish alltogether
I (personally) do not want a fish that is poisonous...or that has teeth

I've had 2 lionfish and they are only dangerous if you don't pay attention while working in the tank. and I think they are venomous, not poisonous.

And there is a difference between Killer Venom or killer poison

+1 common sense goes a long way. A lion will only TRY to sting if it feels threatened. I had a eel that would always run into my radiata, and never did my lion try to sting it...

which is exactly what i said, they can be deadly if the person has a bad reaction
Exactly, which brings me to point out. Why do some people feel it is necessary to condemn a fish or animal just because it is labeled as "poisonous" or has "teeth" it is bad?

because they don't know any better.
