Vote. People who don't vote don't have a right to complain about the country, IMO. Watch the debates carefully and also pick carefully.

Debates are the biggest waste of air I think there is. I don't think you will ever see such a spectacular display of speaking without even saying anything. It is very bad.

Honestly there is such a thing as a responsible non-voter. Personally I believe that someone who doesn't believe in any candidate owes it to the rest of the country to NOT vote. Just picking someone because they're being told they have to vote or stop complaining is a terrible reason. By all means, complain, complain loudly, and complain that there is no viable candidate who deserves your vote, if you so choose to. Otherwise, where's the FREEDOM to vote?

Im sure I will vote. i usually try not to complain about the country though. Things could be a lot better, but things could also be a lot worse.

Most likely, I'll vote for any Republican EXCEPT for John McCain. Hillary being the only option, I don't like. honestly, the Democrat that is CLOSEST (not saying "close", just saying "closest") to the moderate middle is Obama. I am convinced that Hillary is a socialist and I would not vote for her if I lived to be a million years old.
as far as Ralph Nader, he'll never be president, everybody knows that. but he IS one of the greatest Americans alive because he recognizes that the 2 party system is outdated and that the elections should not be bought and paid for by big businesses. I wouldn't classify him as a "conservative", but I wouldn't classify him as a "liberal" either. I classify him as a great American that would come closer to representing the average citizen more than any other.
as for the "if you don't vote, you have no right to complain", that is marlarky. it doesn't matter which Republican or Democrat wins, they will still be elected by special interests. like Bill Hicks once said, "I prefer the puppet on the right. No, I prefer the puppet on the left. Hey wait! both puppets are being controlled by the same hand!!!". that's sad, but it's the truth. if the election were to come down to Hillary (or Edwards) vs McCain, I WILL stay home and I WILL continue to complain.

I couldn't agree more.

Not voting is BS. There are numerous issues on the ballot, just leave the presidential line blank if you can't find someone to support. Most states will have at least 4 candidates on the ballot. Most people should be able to come up with a choice. I will vote for whoever has the best chance to beat the Hillarbeast. It isnt simply because I disagree with her. There has been a Clinton or Bush in the white House for better than 20 years and now the two families are getting chummy. I think it's time for new blood.
Check out a website called unity08. It's an interesting idea, Pick a centrist from the D's and one from the R's and run them together as an independent ticket.

Bama isn't ready for prime time. The Clinton smear machine isn't even warmed up yet and already hit him. Seems like a nice guy which is probably a huge disadvantage in national politics for the most part.

NON VOTER> Why? That's rhetorical, please dont respond all you political activists who dont make an lick of difference. No offense to anyone, I have no faith in the system, lots of hope, but no faith.

Do you think you actually make a difference? Do you think people who dont vote are less of a citizen than you? Anybody who lives in this "free" cuntry but has had freedoms taken away even though they did or didnt vote has every right to complain all they want. Even if we have a fovarable vote in one direction or the other does NOT mean that is how things will end up. We are merely a popularity vote, adn have NO ACTUAL power in the end

Correct. One vote does not make a difference but tens of thousands of one votes do. Watch the debates and make a choice, help make a difference.

guiliani won't survive the smear tactics. I'm surprised they are still allowing him to consider it. well, as long as he doesn't run on a family values platform...
