Hypothetical question... would you use marijuana for medicinal purposes only?

I know that we are all very different people. We all have different interests, vices, addictions, whatever. So for the purpose of this thread, let's discuss with the presumption that we don't use marijuana and have no interest in getting high from marijuana.
That being said, if you had a medical condition, and the best treatment available was marijuana, would you use it? Whether it was legally prescribed or illegally obtained wouldn't matter to my opinion, but if that makes a difference in your response, please let us know.
Just curious...

+1 on that
BUT...depending on the medical issue, and IF the use helped, then YES
I know a person who was very sick, and the only way he could get thru each day was by smoking marijuana.

Define treatment. IT doesn't treat anything, just 'eases' your pain during any treatment (or lack of) you are getting.
I agree it should be legalized and i honestly feel at some point will be. Speaking of taxable goods to makup some deficit money...

Actually it is a treatment for several different ailments. While not a cure to any given disease, it treats nauseau (sp?) and is a natural anti-inflammatory. It has also been found to treat several skin conditions.

I just asked a doc about it yesterday about it for chronic pain and this guy thought traditional meds were more effective. I plan to talk to my regular doc next month. I live in a medical M state and figured what the heck I can give it a shot. My issue is when I last tried it like 30 years ago or so I didn't like getting high. If I can take a hit and at least get to the point where I can relieve the stress in the muscles on the bad leg that would be cool.

He's probably on the payroll of the makers of some of those "traditional meds"

If it helps I say yes. BUT, I am not a smoker. Never have been. I never could inhale without literaly coughing myself nuts. Oh, I tried to, because it was "cool". But ultimately gave up, it wasn' worth it.
I thought I read where it also helps with certain eye conditions. I forgot which ones.
