• Would continue to tax capital gains for
small businesses at 15%.
• Added Costs for Firms That Provide
Health Insurance. McCain would tax
employer contributions to employee health
insurance plans for the first time in
history.
• End Tax Breaks for Companies That
Ship Jobs Overseas. Would reverse the
backwards incentive that allows
companies to defer or avoid taxes
entirely if they invest overseas while
requiring them to pay full and immediate
taxes if they invest in America.
• New Tax Breaks for Companies That
Create Jobs in America. For companies
that expand or create jobs in America,
Barack Obama would lower corporate
tax rates with the savings

Really? then why are toyota and honda opening plants in the US while the big three are closing them? The middle class isn't going to buy a thing if they don't have a job from the "evil rich". I ask you this and honestly think about it. Have you ever seen a poor man hire 40 people? Where does the bottom get their money to drive this economy if not from the rich or big business?
This is ironic, your candidate has been trying to tie everything to going on in the economy to the party is running the place, while you steadfastly refuse to admit that michigan's economic woes aren't tied to the democrats running the place.
because it helps them sell cars in the states... plus they offer a better product.
If there is no one to buy your product, than there is no need to hire 40 people. We have more millionaries per capita than ever before, however consumer spending is down more than it has been in 30 years. And I am not saying anyone is evil...
but the middle and lower class far out number the rich... they are the ones who drive the economy.

Nice to have you on the "right" side Crimzy...Go out and buy a really expensive Tang for your nice new aquarium. Stimulate the economy, it's what we Republicans do.
I won't bother with Rylan's ridiculous comments in this thread. The PGA Tour (my peoples) is roughly 95% Republican, I'm sticking with them over the jackasses in Hollywood.

Funny you say that. I work at a PGA golf course and everyone is voting McCain. I can rant and rave like an idiot about why but I would rather let the dems do that.
If anyone wants a good laugh check out this vid of one of my favorite dems

I almost like him as much as Joe Biden.

This is fact

your facts are misleading.... just like the GOP's in saying that Obama voted 96 times for tax increases... This is misleading...
You still haven't answered the fundemental questions... who spurs the economy, and who benefits most under which plan..
McCain said that the fundementals of the economy were strong. Then came back and said that the fundementals are the american worker.
However wages have decreased... and this has been evident since 2001. Productivity is lower than it has been in the past... the manufacturing sector has seen increased layoffs and outsourcing of work. Now our IT positions are being outsourced.
So no the fundementals are not strong. The middle class is shrinking, and not in a positive way.
Now republicans want to cut social programs that target improving our work force through education. Our market has never truly been a free enterprise system... it is a mixed system that relies on both private and public (gov't) sectors to grow.

I have no clue what the numbers are but wouldn't doubt it. Just pointing out the irony, you have 1 well really both candidates running around saying how bad this country is, and yet we have more millionaires than ever.

Are you truly measuring the success of this country based on the prosperity of the wealthiest?
That makes a lot of sense.

You mean point out that people are moving from the middle to the upper class and not see that as a good thing. Remember we are talking about an increase in the upper class, they didn't just appear.

Taking from the rich and distributing to others only make sense if you are against Capitalistic principals.

Let's get over the whole Robin Hood thing for a minute. Nobody is directly taking from the rich and giving that money to the poor. The issue is that someone is going have their taxes raised. This is simply an issue of the economic crisis that we are in now. While you guys all whine and moan about socialism, blah, blah, blah, all Obama is suggesting is that he believes that the middle class should not bear the weight of this crisis as much as those who are better able to afford it. I happen to agree with this. It's really the lesser of two evils. Would you rather increase the taxes of the millionaire, who really won't feel its affects, or the blue collar worker who struggles to pay the bills and send his kids to college? If you'd rather tax the blue collar guy (as McCain is), then you are either heartless or corrupted by your wealthy palm-greasers.

You honestly think that Obama is going to lower taxes? Just today you had the governor of NM saying obama is going to give you a tax cut on people making 120,000 a year. It just keeps getting lower and lower.
That isn't counting sunsetting the bush tax cuts that will raise taxes on EVERYONE.
Except for JFK have you ever seen a democrat (with a democratically controlled congress ever lower taxes?)

I would rather that everyone's taxes are decreased and Washington stops spending our money irresponsibly. The thought of taking from one group and giving to another group who didnt earn that money makes me sick to my stomach.
I dont believe that just because a company is makeing money that it should be required to share its profits. That goes against everything that this country stands for.
