I officially dislike the people of this country.

People forget.
People are lazy.
People don't want to earn anything.
I am officially not voting for either candidate.
I am fed up with the population looking at the government with their hand out.
I am fed up with morons that say "if we don't do something fast we will have a depression". Even the top economists say this can not happen and won't happen. We have no huge deflation, a huge significant factor that caused the depression. Next moron that says we are heading for a depression please stab me in the eye with an Ice pick. This way I will know how painful it is for them to use their brain each time they think something this stupid.
One candidate says he will balance the budget by the end of his term. The other candidate does not even address this huge issue. Yet both candidates based off their proposals for spending will increase the budget deficit. one of them will created a deficit of about 167 BILLION-259 BILLION, while the other's proposals would create 286 billion dollar deficit. These are PER YEAR numbers. Sure, this is what we friggin' need, more debt. the left side of the aisle complains the cost of this war will cost our children about 1-3 trillion dollars in the long run (this is an estimate and not factual). Yet these 2 friggin' morons will cost our children that much if in office for 4 years themselves.
Both candidates are now lying. I want a debate with these two jackoff's hooked up to lie detectors, the 2 hours of silence would be telling to the american people.
McCain is pandering to his base. He used to cross party lines and work with people to get things done. But because the base wasn't solidified he changed who had become. I respected the guy for his willingness to do what he thought was best regardless of political persuasion and stances. But now he has placed a bad taste in my mouth. If he does lose it will be because of this. The base would have voted for him anyway, as there is no Ross Perot in this election the alternative would be to allow a guy to win that is completely opposite their views. They would not have let that happen.
Obama bring hope and change...not sure how, since he will increase the deficit. Sure he will give you medical, and everything else you guys want...but your kids will be paying for it for years to come. So have at it, just stop giving me the argument you are concerned about the cost of your child's future. You are not.
Neither candidate is publicly addressing SS. This is currently a huge problem. each year that goes buy SS deficit increases 25%.....This is huge....and those paying into it will not see any money out of it by 2030. Basically you are giving your money away and getting NOTHING in return. But this does not concern you guys. You would rather worry about the small percentage your 401 K plan is getting hit with, than the 100% loss you are getting in your other retirement fund called SS. So rather than fix the fist problem, we placed a bandaid on your 20% loss loss and left the free flowing wound on your 100% loss.
Roe VS. Wade, if this is a huge reason for who you vote for, punch yourself in the face right now. Roe VS. WADE has stood for about 30 years. Even if it got turned over today this would not change much as it would become state right to decide (which it should be). And from what I can glean, 70% of the states would keep Abortion in place. If a pro-life person truly wants to make a differnece, convince people why you believe abortion is wrong, stop trying to do it at a federal level and get people to make the "right" choice themselves. I am pro-life, but I have never voted based off of this issue.

Taxes. Stop complaining. Many do not even pay them. So your view on this subject and how we spend the money in this country is irrelevant, as you aren't paying for squat anyway. This tax system is the equivalent of my 5 year old trying to tell me how to spend the money I earn for the family. The 5 year old does not contribute so thus the five year old should not whine when they don't get what the want because the family can't afford it. Same goes for tax payers....If you do not pay in taxes, then you have no reason to gripe. Those of us that support the war, if you are not for a tax increase to fund it, you are hypocritical. Never in this nations history have we ran a war without increasing taxes to pay for it. And nnow we are doing just that. One candidate wants to hit harder in fghanistan and pullout of Iraq, the other wants to finish Iraq and also finish Afghanistan. Neither one of them will tell you to you face they will HAVE to raise taxes to do this if the wish to keep the budget deficit under control (see previos point on this). Yet both would have you believe they are in fact going to cut taxes on middle class americans.....Gee, there is some good math for you.
In short, the people in this country are going to get what the deserve, not what you want , but what we deserve. We complain about debt, but still want more and do nothing to tighten our own belts (government is what I am refering to).
With the exception of a few safety net programs the government should just be paying for roads and defense....that is it...but instead we have far more than that. Why? becaus ethe american people constantly have their hand out...not just corporate CEO's, not just lobbyists, not just "evil" oil companies, but every last person in this country in some form or another has their hand out.
Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country. That is one of the greatest things I have ever heard....yet from the time that was said by a great man, the people of this country have done nothing but ask, what their country can do for them.
People call Oil companies and CEO's greedy....because they make a significant profit, yet that is the american dream and desire. Yet when someone is able to make an obsene amount of money they are called greedy. Yet the guy I know that works for the postal service as a janitor (in his exact words he leans on and pushes a broom for 8 hours a day while goofing off) gets paid 25 dollars an hour is NOT considered greedy....last I checked his services were not worth that much, but since he is union, this is what he makes......yeah he is not greedy and neither are unions. Hypocrites we have become, from the bottom to the top. Myself included.
How do we get out of this? I don't see that happenning. But the first step is to remove the party labels and have our representatives run on their own ideas, names, and platforms, and not with a D or an R behind them. Until that day comes we will continue to have partisanship, we will have people voting straight ticket no matter how much of a moron their party guy is, we will have people to loyal to consider the other argument as valid. And the other guy will always be the anti-christ.
In short, both parties are to blame for everything and the people, ourselves, hold the highest blame, because no matter if republican or democrat, in one form another we have our hand out.
Now if you excuse me, I am going to switch my avatar.

Well said. I agree with everything there. I can see you are very passionate. I work for DES. My office is the biggest in the state. We ALONE approve over 2 million dollars a month in food stamps. Oh yes. There are a lot of people with their hands out.

AMEN ! Well put my friend . Only place I have to differ is your 5 year old telling you where to spend the taxes . I think its more like the little immigrant neighbor kid coming over to your house and telling you how to spend it on things for his house .

Good talking points...my only objection is the whining of a 20% loss in my 401K. I WISH I only lost 20% this year, more like 38%.
Some blame has to go to the media. All the people smart enough and qualified enough to be President don't because of the media. They don't want their skeltons and their familie's skeltons brought out of the closest. I don't care if your significant other had a DUI 20 years ago or if you smoked pot in college.

Compared to the 100% loss on social security you are facing, that is still not worth fixing when compared to the other. And one, you have choice, the other you do not.

The media is a direct product of the people. the opinion pieces, the dirt, the only bad news coverage is because american's love dirt. Next time you go to your supermarket, take a look at how many tabloids there are on the stand. Look at how much discussion Br1tney Speers' actions sparked and the amount of news that little waste of a douchebag received. If people didn't care or didn't receive satisfaction from that type of news the media wouldn't print it.
It all comes back to us the people.

That is true that SS could be a 100% loss, but I am in my mid 30s and for the last 10 years I have always thought of the SS withholding as a tax instead of a deduction. In other words I don't think I will see that money in 2040 when I am due to retire.

And see that is the problem. I was of the same mindset....as american's we accept that our money that is suppossedly set aside for us later at retirement is just gone. WHY?! WHY should we accept that?! If you will accept that, why shouldn't we just accept the stock market crash and why support the bailout of the banks, we should just accept it.
See this is the problem, we as a people are fine with not receiving what we paid for from our government. Would you order pizza, pay for it over the phone, and then not call back and complain and get your pizza if it didn't show up when you were told it would?
