Ak was giving valid information about how to keep more than one in a tank. You cannot take the part you want to be true out of context. I agree everyone must do things at their own risk, however AK was giving relevant facts to the the question "It would be nice if I could do both but I've heard 2 angels won't live together in the same tank. Any suggestions? "
For you to step in and take his post apart and only use what you want to convey was misleading to the OP's question.
Wow.... This is what I like to see, a friendly debate. Okay my turn... My answer to this, or should I say "my experience" is yes. You can have two DWARFS in one tank, however, ..... right now we have a Flame angel and a lemon peel together in our QT (20gal, long). We got the Flame first and and then 4 to 5 days later we got live rock and the Lemonpeel (named mine Meeme from the Drew Carey Show, but more on that later. :) With the live rock in place in the QT, it made the tank different and there was no established territories. Other than a big conch shell, and a couple of other places to hide in, the DWARFS live happily and yes, sometimes do get a little buttslap pissy at times, but for the most part they are good roomies. If anything ya'll, the lemonpeel showed the flame how to eat, because the flame was not eating. It made him a little more competitive while eating. When I Iast saw them, 20 minutes ago, they were together in the conch shell looking out at me.
If one wants to add an angel after here is one in the tank already I would honestly mention they should rearrange the LR while doing a water change, turn the lights out and then add the other angel/fish. My Pigmy angel is going to have a seizure when they move into their new tank and see this lemon peel, but they will be fine because it's all new to everybody.
Thank you

As I went downstairs to get my morning coffee, I failed to mention an important aspect of this conversation. Fish are like people, they are all different. Fish can be aggressive to eachother, with this said, you may get an angel that is NOT going to get along with the other. So, if this is something you want to do, I would suggest that you watch them very carefully. Our case was different from the Original poster because we got them around the same time and QT'd them together so we can see how they interact.
Also...... we are not putting them in the same tank after the QT is over.
Shoulda added that in the orinal post.

you said you have a 75 g.? Uhm..... I would say a fox face would be nice but I don't know to much about the tank rec"s. I have 2 emerald crabs that clean up just fine. You may have to take out you rock that has the algea and scrub them off and then get the crabs mentioned. they will do great in your tank.

Just curious...Tell me more about the Foxface. I thought they weren't reef friendly.
I'm leaning towards the Flame and possibly the Lemonpeel if I get enough nerve to try 2.

I have had both and both a great fish...However I think the lemon is much prettier. I think there is a butterfly fish (longnose) that looks allot like the the rabbit fox fish and the fox is reef safe while the butterfly is not. According to my friend who has kept them for 20 years. My book says that both might eat LPS corals.

I have a one-spot foxface in my 225G (with the flame and coral beauty) and it has never touched any of my corals. I also believe Henry (Spanko) has kept the same fish in his tanks with no problems either
they are a beautiful fish

I believe that a foxface would be a benefit to the original posters problem, I don't know if he has corals. Another fish that he may want to concider with his algea problem is maybe a Kole tang. I think, as well as the wife, that he may like the 75 gallon and be very happy. The lemonpeel is a very colorful fish that will def. add some color to the tank as well as the Flame. I thought Spanko had a 29 BC? I did not know he had a bigger tank. He's holdin out on me here!! Just when you thought you knew someone too!! Lol

Just being nosey here......do you have a pic of your tank that you might wnat to share? If we had an idea of what you currently have we might be able to help a little more. Although, you have had this thing for 8 years right? So you have a QT? Oh and most importantly..... how many fish do you have in the tank now and what?

Nope I am a 29 biocube man. I love the ease of maintenance and the low cost of maintenance on this tank. Have done many mods but I have it where I like it.
Check it out here.

On the Foxface I have had I think 4 all together. I had a caulerpa problem that I just could not get control of. I bought a 2" yellow tang, it never touched the stuff so he want back to my local store for credit. Then bought a 2" scopas tang, same thing never touched the stuff. Then someone told me to try a foxface. Got it at about 2.5" and it went to town. Withing a couple of weeks I could not see any caulerpa in the tank. Kept him to about 3-3.5" and back to the store for credit. Well if you know anything about caulerpa it is the bane of reefers. The little holdfasts it puts into the rockwork grows new runners and bam, got the problems again. Off to the store for another small foxface and the same outcome. Did this another 2 times I think and have not had any caulerpa since.
The one spot Foxface (Siganus unimaculatus) is by far in my experience the best fish for caulerpa control out there.

When looking to understanding buying fish tanks online, namely how the process works, it is important to remember variance. When you buy a fish tank online, you will need to choose to do business with the one of the many online fish tank suppliers that can be found online.

I'm trying to get my tank back in order after having my 3rd child 6 months ago. The tank made it through but I lost a few coral and had a hair algae bloom. Water changes were lacking..........
One correction from an earlier post, my sump is 24 gallons.

Wow.... thats impressive.sure would LOVE to see a pic sometime. The foxface would be okay in there. Did you consider the Kole tang for the algea? I did not know you already had the emerald crabs. I would say that if you don't want the fish, take the rock out and brussh or pick the hair algea off and put back in your tank where the emerald crabs can get the spores. Just a thought. Hows the lemonpeel idea going?

I finally looked up a Kole Tang online. It is beautiful!
Decisions, decisions. I was sold on the foxface to help with the algae.........Could both live together? I see that both are peaceful

They would be fine together. They both are great algea eaters so you will have to add algea sheets to suplement. Our tangs love Romaine lettuce also and it isn't as messy.

The Kole Tang and Foxface Lo have been in my tank for 24 hours now. That Kole Tang is one fine looking fish! Foxface is grazing already, changing colors from time to time. The damsels don't mess with him.
Thanks for the suggestions. Great additions to my tank
