What little boy have you seen that does not pretend to shoot things? That behavior is very normal. There was a community of people in Berkley that was very peace orientated ( ain't that a shocker!) and there children were not allowed access to any violent toys and anything that resembled a gun. So these little boys were caught playing shoot em up with french bread.
Owning a gun is not against the law (yet) so why should this even be an issue. How many stories have you heard of an autistic child killing people with their parents gun? I am willing to bet their neighbors do not like the fact that there is a gun 30 yards from their ignorant lives, but that is my assumption.
Sure, a group of kids playing shoot 'em up is one thing, but one kid running pretending to shoot things, yelling who know's what is another (this is just a scenario, I feel horrbile for making an assumption like this). I have never witnessed an austic child's outburst, so I can't say if that's something that might have played a part.
I feel there was also some escalation that was omitted from the article. Who know's how many times those neighbor's might have asked them not to have Spencer ride over their lawn, up their driveway, etc on his bike. Something like that would have never made that article.
The gun issue, was either something Spencer did sepcifically, like yell "I'm going to get my daddy's gun" or something, or what some scumbag suggested to help support their case.
