yup, and if you kill them all at once, they'll nuke your tank by releasing poisons...
syphon them out, then syphon them out, then syphon them out, then syphon them out, then syphon them out. once you don't see anymore, look into a half dose of flatworm exit and make sure you syphon out what you find, and do a pretty big water change, and run lots and lots of carbon...

I've been reading a little about the red flatworm, and like the above poster said, I planned to syphon them. Also, I read that a wrasse would eat these. I'm curious if a whipfin fairy wrasse would eat them...
One more question. What harm exactly are these parasites doing??

Just siphon and siphon often. I had this problem, and w/ the help of an evil six line wrasse (don't get one, it's not worth it, they don't eat that many) and my mandarin, I was able to get rid of them in a little less than a months time. You have to be diligent with the siphoning, I was doing it morning, when I got home from work and then again right before bed for weeks. They really can choke out corals, I lost some zoanthids, and mushrooms that's to these little buggers.

LOL ... my sixline was like your damsels. One of the happiest days was when my sixline got stuck in the overflow and I was finally able to get rid of him. The problem with sixlines is they're a 50/50 on whether or not they'll be little monsters in your tank or not. And if you do get the little monster, good luck trying to catch it.

Don't know but it is awesome. I would not try to get rid of it. I knew some who had some thing like it and almost killed the entry tank! Trying to get rid of it.
