thats how stuff gets slipped through congress. when something is passed, whatever is attached to it automatcially passes as well. its called "pork", or "earmarks".
Thanks for the civics lesson, would have never knew what pork or an earmark was if you hadn't explained it

I think the president of the united states is gonna be a target of assasination no matter who it is . Its just a safe bet that somebody out there hates them enough no matter who you put in office .

Some more troubling votes by Obama in his state legislature days Including voting against a law To give no offer of "good time" for --- offenders sentenced to the County Jail. This clown was the only no vote.
Voted Present on a law to prohibit placement of "Adult" businesses within 1000 feet of schools.
Voted present on a bill requiring a zero tolerence for drug testing for department of corrections employees

I would like to say this. I do give Hillary Credit. She does have some conviction in the sanctuary of Marriage. Till Death do us part. She stuck by her husband and stayed with him after he repeatedly cheated on her. This takes some conviction and she must love the man....

Anyway I will vote for Obama. But I would vote for Hillary over any republican nominee. Almost all of them are pro military action vs Iran, WW3, Armageddon, no just the end of the USA ; which would probably be pretty good for the rest of the world =/

I don't think Billary or Obama will win! I think it will be a republican for sure given who is in the democratic party. I think it is a republican no brainier. With that said, I don't think McCain is cut for the job either. I think Huckabee is an excellent choice because the fair tax act, second amendment issue. But I dont think he was put out enough for the voters. I think the media was brainwashing the American public by only showing the top two when there was more in the race. The media is hurting us just as much as the candidates by only giving biased attention to a certain group. Now we are down to which

up is going to be best for us and I firmly believe it will be a republican! And for all you who say if Billary wins you will move to Canada, think twice because they have the same awful healthcare system that she is proposing here. So you might want to think going south or abroad!!

I am a conservative, if the race was between obama and mcain i would vote for obama in a second. No way will i vote for hillary or mcain, i pray that none of those two win.
Besides if obama wins you dont have to refer to his wife as the first lady.
Call here mama obama.

mccain is a backstabber and hillary is..well, a clinton.
only other choice is huckabee, and lets be honest, he's pretty far behind.
last logical choice is obama.

Just because Huckabee is far behind does not mean he don't have a chance. Choosing Obama off of that logic will send the U.S. into a worse spiral than we currently are!

Contrary to what Ann Colter says, you can't be a Conservative and vote for either Clinton or Obama. If you do then you are not voting on their records or their positions or policies, you are voting on their personalities.
Obama would destroy our military. You think morale was low under Clinton? Just wait till a President tells them they lost in Iraq and to retreat immediately.... They both would destroy our health care system. And they both would destroy many aspects of the Constitution and States' Rights. Not to mention what they would do to the Supreme Court and other judge appointments.
Huckabee cannot get the nomination. He would have to win over 80% of the remaining delegates. That's just not reasonable, and the fact that he hasn't realized that makes me believe he's not smart enough to be President. Nor is he smart enough to be VP.
I had made it very clear that I despise McCain. That said, after talking to some friends who are in the military I'm leaning towards gritting my teeth and voting for him in November... even though 3 days ago I swore I never would...
