The statement that that shirt is saying is unfortunately, a political statement. IMO, It is all about left vs. the right here.
Many will oppose anyone rights to speak politicaly if they speak against what they beleive.
Keep in mind that the superintendent is either appointed by politicians ( school board, ect. ) or elected ( not sure how it works in Indiana ) and most likely has higher hopes to continue his/her political career.
If you wear that shirt because you beleive in protecting the enviroment and " want to say so ", then there will be many that will oppose that because they dont want to protect the enviroment for various reasons.
At such a young age ( no disrespect ) dont let this school system teach you to cave in to political powers that are against your political beliefs.
