which is like 90 %of you and tellin others that triggers can not live, long or short term with each other is wrong!!in some cases. im just doing things alittle or alot differnt than you. i wish you luck

Folks, let's lay off of the name calling.
Also, let's not post about other forums.
That said; Slackjawed, here is a brief summary of some of the posts you have made in the past talking about your tank.

THANK 4 THE WELL WISHIN

The fish you have changes, the number of fish you have changes, you say you care about your fish and all is going well, then you say you don't care what happens and some of your fish have been injured...
Does it really surprise you that people don't take your posts seriously?

Slackjawed, you need to understand something; It's your tank... No one can stop you from doing whatever you want in your tank.
My issue is when you repeatedly give bad and dishonest advice to new members looking for the proper way to keep fish.
As I showed in you own words, your tank is not "fine". You have had issues and by your own words you don't care. Yet on this thread you try to tell the OP that you haven't had any problems.
That is completely dishonest. A new member may not have the time or patience to look through your old posts. They may simply trust you when you tell them something that isn't true. Then, when things go wrong, they will blame our community for your dishonesty
. Your dishonesty makes the entire SWF Forum Community look bad.
If you want to avoid being negatively labeled then start being honest.

Someone told me to get an octopus. The whole reason I'm in this hobby actually. So far I've sold pics for publishing, written articles on their care, working on a book, and I'm just part of something still relatively new in the marine ornamental trade. Twas good advise actually.
It's only bad advise when you give inaccurate information. Like "Feed your octopus freshwater feeder fish" and, "No, they won't climb out", and "You can keep MORE THAN ONE in a tank"... cuz we all know conspecifics get along so well together.

a octo?but they have such a short life span?in cages?right?hard 2keep aive.thinkin i read posts that suggest that 6 to 12 months is it.sounds like a good investment"like a tank full of triggers"was thinkin about gettin 1 a octo but doesnt seem like its worth it.but good luck 2 you w/ them.

More like 1-2 years if you make an informed decision upon purchase. And way cooler than any fish (in my personal opinion). Fish don't shift shapes, change colors, skin texture, and color patterns all in a fraction of a second, and they can't "hold hands" with you. And with the right species you can raise a second generation from birth through their entire life span. But preference of animal is opinion, not advise. I could be wrong but think the average lifespan of a fish in this hobby is probably less than 2 years. Mostly due to bad advise, poor/improper husbandry.

Octopi have short lifespans in the wild.
Any hobbyist that can't keep a fish alive more than 2 years in this hobby needs to get out of the hobby and buy a turtle...

You said it for me!
Slackjawed, fish are dear pets to many of us, putting them in a situation that can only end badly is downright irresponsible, as is being so nonchalant about the injured fish caused by you.
Of course you can do whatever you want, but I'm hoping that you look out for the well-being of the animals.

odvestly you have never done it so how can you say its bad???take the "advise of others??this set up has been runnin strong 4 almost 2 years.but i for got some day the will all go postal..when its been 2 years still waitin
iim just doing things alot differnt than most of you ..alll u ppl act like i have 20 fish in a 5 gallon bucket??i have done a total water change before replacin my fish back the tank in hours never any probs everyone made it."had a raggin party beer in tank" did total water change put fish back in in 2 hrs....hummmmmmmmmm everybody lived...but im sure ALL will think thats wrong 2.but when thay take them "fish" from the ocean do they bring the ocean water home or do they drops them in there tanks???or from the pet store you float em than either dump em or pour water in the bags 4 a slow acclimation process. it all works so whos right???im here on a island showin others that it can be done.not suggesting that you do it just that you can .i have had no probs w/ fightin ..thats whare all of you dont understand..but again i no no 1 agrees w/ me.thats kool i have a kool tank full of triggers that works!!!that makes me downright irresponsible ook lets agree 2 dis agree
