I know what all the haters will say, that all their crappy players were better than him, but Irvin finally gets his due as one of the greatest receivers of ALL TIME!!!

I know at least Oceanists will be happy the Playmaker gets his bust next to Troy :cheer:

If there was a hall of fame for scoring the best crack cocaine, then M Irvin would have my vote!

Wrong as usual

Show me where i said Thurmal was "just mediocre"? I actually said he was GREAT but not in Emmitts class and choked in big games. I notice they still aint lettin in any Sucs players

Irvin is hardly the worst person or biggest druggie in the HOF. But hey, when a guy has more rings than all your little teams combined, you gotta hate

Emmit was blessed to have run behind one of the best offensive lines and I can only image what Walter or Barry Sanders would have done if they had been in the same situation.

Gee, what would they have done?????
Had the most yards rushing by far, the most rushing td's by far, the most 100 yards games(oh yeah, both for regular AND postseason), 3 rings?!?!
Sounds familar, oh yeah, thats EMMITT

We'll never know what those guys MIGHT have done with Emmitts line but Emmitt actually DID it

ALL HAIL THE TRIPLETS!!!

who cares how much blow he does off the field.
he went to the hall for what he did on the field.
hence, (not to get off topic), the MLB should all burn in hell for not allowing Pete Rose to get into the HOF. his on field numbers more than qualify him to be in there.

All I can say is it is well deserved, MI did alot for the Cowboys, probably one of the most important of the triplets. My all tijme favorite WR, I dont hear anybody mentioning LT or Cris Carter when it comes to whos done the most drugs.
Congrats Mike .... truely earned by a truely great player.

Same old sob story from the Cowboy haters. Same EXACT sob story actually. "What if Barry or Walter had the O-Line that Emmitt had...." Please tell me what made the Dallas O-Line any different than any of the other O-Lines in the league at that time?? Please show me (scientifically) how they had an advantage over other lineman in their positions?? I'm waiting..... Oh, that's right, there isn't any difference. They are human and mortal just like the next player. They get in their pants the same exact way.... one leg at a time. Stop the excuses. Give credit where credit is due.
About Michael Irvin.... he has made mistakes and has owned up to them. Yet he is still chastised for his lack of judgement. Bottom line is he deserves to be in the HOF. No questions asked.
It's interesting to me how no one ever remembers in conversation Brett Favre's drug addictions, but they sure remember Michael's.
And yes, Cris Carter was an abuser of cocaine and alcohol. The was the primary reason why he was cut from the Eagles in 1989.

Farve was addicted to pain killers and put himself into treatment... he wasnt busted more than once with a white powdery substance and girls from an escort service like the Coke Machine...
