well my tank has 18" depth lol, we do need a light expert. Im thinkin bang guy or BTLDreef.
I thought you said it was 24" depth

18" depth a 4 bulb will be fine.....As I said earlier, I have the Sundial T5HO with 4 bulbs....I have lps, shrooms, frogspawn, a maxima clam...etc...etc....
sorry if i got confusing. It is a 24" Length (Side to Side) and an 18" depth (Top to bottom)

alright i will proboly be ordering them soon. How come in MH you have to worry about wattage but not in T5?
You don't have to worry about wattage.....just intensity
so im just clreaifing, under a 4 bulb 24w wach T5 HO fixture under 18" inch depth on a 28g tank, Shrooms, Polyps, Softies and LPS, will thrive? lol

I used the bulbs that came with the light, and when it came time to replace them I went sith an ATI and aquascience combo....BUT that is sometihng you can work on later

the $270 fact makes it comparable to the coralife one i was looking at at just $170. But the coralife one does not have individual reflectors.
But it does say it has 14X Light Amplifying Paradynamic Reflector.

IDK which one you are talking about but the Sundial is $234
oops i listed the price for the one at the depot of marine, not the one you showd me earlier. I do like how there the price is only $234. I also have to order a new overflow box for my skimmer wich is another $30 so my total will be $270. Im splitting half with my dad so thats $135 for me. So guess what meowzer? I think im going to get a sundial fixture.

I would go with a minimum of a 4 bulb fixture if you're doing T5.
There are the fixtures I would look into:
Aquatic Life T5HO 24" Fixture w/ Lunar Lights 96watt (4 bulbs)
Current Nova Extreme Pro Saltwater T5 Fixture 20" (6 bulbs) - you'd need to hang this or build legs since it is slightly shorter than your tank.
Wave Point T5 24" 96 watt fixture.
In none of those fixtures would I keep the stock bulbs long term. I personally favor the WavePoint and Aquatic Life fixtures over the Current models.
As for lighting gurues, I am not one. I'd ask Acrylic, 2Quills and WangoTango.
