So do you support requiring a photo ID for voting?
Sounds an awful lot like a National I.D. card which I don't approve of. We have the mail-in ballots and I think those are a very bad idea also, when my grandmother was alive she had a friend who was a working member of the Democratic Party who would "help" her fill out her ballot until I was there one day and saw how she was "helping". My grandma was not capable after a stroke and dementia of doing it herself.

Lol what in the world? The states issue photo ids not the feds. Where do you get national id from. Or an open carry law having anything to do with an ar?

Try a passport. Make it mandatory for all US citizens to get the new Passport ID card. It's the minimum requirement to cross the Mexico and Canadian borders by foot or car.

Voter ID's is something they would most likely do at the state level, remember that conversation we had about states running the elections, not the federal government...

A much simpler solution - land mines. Run large land mine fields along the US border. Worked for the Germans in WW2. Inhumane? Yea. But after a couple hundred of them get a leg blown off, or worse, it would become a hugh deterrent for anyone trying to sneak in. Drastic measures for drastic times.
I like Pat Buchanan's idea back in the 80's when they were talking about building a ditch. He said they were leaving the job half done, they needed to fill it and stock it with gators and Parana

I don't like open carry laws or concealed carry without a permit because people I don't know with AR-15 assault rifles make me a little nervous and has little to do with when I am walking to my car after hunting and should be treated for what it is.
This birther law has nothing to do with everyone and you know it, did you know Hawaii just passed a anti-birther law because they are tired of wasting time and money with these people. Once again I am sorry if I see the other side of the coin, but Obama's birth certificate looks just like mine...........mmmmm wonder what the motivation could be, political?
If the state was that concerned about federal holidays, why would they not strike down Columbus day, a holiday based on a myth about who discovered this country considering there where already people here and the vikings beat Columbus anyway. LOL

I like open carry laws. Makes dirtbags think twice about starting something. Concealed carry is even better cause you don't know who might have a gun under their shirt. You shouldn't fear the guy with an AR 15 because #1 it isn't an assault rifle in 99.99% of cases because most people don't want to pay the thousands of dollars it costs to get the license to own a Automatic weapon and #2 Most people who own those are fairly well educated gun enthusiasts due to the price. The one's to worry about is the gang banger wannabes carrying around a 100.00 POS that they hocked their girlfriends TV to get.
What does the Birther law matter? Obama is playing the birther crowd like a cheap fiddle which is BS too. He could release the copy with the seal and end this at any time. He doesn't want to cause he can make the fools look bad. I guess they can't comprehend the concept that two different newspapers in Hawaii announced his birth, be kinda hard to fake that LOL! What people should go after him on is his apparent fraud against Oxydental college as long as they have nothing better to do.

I don't buy into the conspiracy theory Either but it does beg the question what states are just taking the party's word for it to begin with? They aren't checking it already?

Too much confusion at the state level. Arizona is gonna have this Immigrant ID, then Texas, then Ohio. Why do you want to end up with fifty different versions of some card? Just makes it easier for the coyotes to figure out a way to make fake ones. Driver's licenses and voter cards are fine for state level, since each state has different laws when it comes to driving and voting. But if you're going to track illegals in the country, that needs to be done at the Federal level, not the State.

Nope, as far as I know there isn't a regulation in any state currently.

Immigrants already have a national ID, the green card. I would think a nation wide standard for drivers licenses and state ID cards would be a good thing. When I moved to Montana I had to come up with a Birth Certificate to get a license. Colorado accepted my Montana license as proof of citizenship. If all states required proof of citizenship to get a license or ID it would solve a lot of problems. Need to do something about voter fraud as well.

Is AZ going to have an immigrant card, or will they just require the federally issued card?

I thought I read they were issuing some kind of ID. The coyotes who sneak these illegals across the border make fake Green Cards all the time. That's how they're able to get 'legal' work and jobs.

I love the person that posted on their Facebook page that we should boycott Arizona tea. I guess the dumbass should have done some research before posting that because he would have found that Arizona tea is made in New York.

Here's an interesting article on who started the fury over implementing a VAT tax.
http://www.newsweek.com/id/237078
I especially like this comment in the article:
The VAT is such a bugaboo among right-wingers that they hype the crap out of every tidbit suggesting the possibility that one may be imposed. They use it to raise money from dimwits," says Bruce Bartlett, a Forbes columnist and economic adviser in the Reagan and George H.W. Bush administrations who's a major proponent of the VAT and has a track record of bucking conservative orthodoxy. Norquist rejects this analysis, joking, "It's very clever of me to get my staff people, Volcker and Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama, to do my will."

It is really simple, because some of the big cheeze in washington have mentioned it. Like Pelosi, Volkmer (sp?). Couple that with the spending that has been going on, thank you healthcare bill, and the trillions of pledged money by the fed etc. The logic of a liberal wouldn't be spend less to balance the budget, but tax more. And the VAT is a sneaky tax that can be raised without much notice...

this just in, the police can't just go in an stop a brown guy and demand immigration papers. It is only when they've already been stopped based on other lawful stoppages, like getting pulled over...
