I wouldnt reccomend corals untill you can understand how to research and keep a healthy tank and fish.
What kind of lights do you have?(flourescent, Power compact, T-5, metal halide)
This hobby is not cheap. I have 3-500 (i lost count) dollars in my tank and i have a very simple tank.
To be able to give you near (give or take) what live rock, sand, lights, filters, sump, refugium, powerheads ect. would cost, we would need to know what you have already on your setup.
Do you have any way of testing your tanks water parameters?(salinity (salt), nitrates, nitrites, ammonia, temp., phosphates, calcium, etc.)
What do you currenty have in your tank (fish, inverts rock, ect.)
Please, always reaserch a fish/invert/coral you want to buy and make sure your tank can meet its requirements. NEVER buy on impulse unless you are completley sure it will get along with whats in your tank and you are able to keep it alive.
Hunt.
