Not so fast......

Their curtains made lovely drop clothes.
There's so much to do that at times I get a little panicky... then I just have another shot of tequila.

We cheered and did a high five when we covered up the last bit of green.....
Another view. I can't wait to remove the railing and put up wrought iron.....

The door is being replaced too.... It's actually not a bad colour and looks nice from the outside. But your front door is your houses face and it needs to be exactly what ya like IMO. We like wood. So wood is a comin.
The flooring looks totally different now. It really looks nice and rich. I'm pleased with the way it came out.

That's the fireplace on the floor there towards the bottom of the pic. It was just stained and should be up the weekend. I worked on the stand for the tank today, but ran out of supplies.... and my hands are sore. I've been in there everyday for the last 5 days and am beat. Hubby is gone to a gig and I didn't have enough energy left to go too. And I love going to hear him play.
Primed our room today upstairs. I now officially hate painting.

I like that little door under the stairs....LOL...Like from the movie the people under the stairs

We were JUST talking about that!!! The kids keep hiding in there. I think I'll put a lock on it (to stop them from getting back out!).

love the color. About the color we have in our living/dining room. Very rich looking...warm. The stairs will look great with the wrought iron.

Now I'm pricing plantation shutters. Yikes! It's gonna bite into my 65" LED TV budget. :-(
I guess I could pick up an extra shift....
.... nahhhhhhh!!!

oh, love those. I wanted those, but we would have had to have the frame built outside our window. Added sooo much to the cost. You are lucky, you have window sills. wow....65" ? Is it going over the fireplace??

It's going on the dark wall in that room.
The windows are super deep... it would be a shame not to put plantation shutters in there. The front room will have curtains, though.

That wood on the floor in the foreground are pieces of the new mantel that will be filling the "hole" in the wall around the firebox. i still need to finish the "finish" on the wood before we put it up.

We missed Renee last PM, for sure.
I was playing baritone sax in my "baby" bro's big band last PM (The Mark Big Band, go figure...heh). He really fields an awesome band, and his musicians are top players in the profession from acts such as Buddy Rich, Brian Setzer, Disney, etc. He really gave me a workout last PM as I was a featured soloist on several tunes. However, the biggest treat was when I handed Griffin (our 13 year old) my horn and had him sit in on several tunes, including the vocalists entire second set. He made quite a splash, and earned some serious
bragging rights to his band teacher and the kids in the school jazz band. He did himself proud, to be sure.
Being married to Renee, I never thought I'd be saying this, but here's a couple of cr@ppy cell phone pics:

Ya, he's already had a "girlfriend". I tried getting some info out of him when he had mono saying the only way to get it was through kissing.... he didn't fall for it and offer up info like I had hoped! I must be sneakier next time.
