How many anemones are in this tank???
about 20 of the small dull purple ones that all got a little stressed, ranging from 1-2 inch to 3-5 inch. are they bad? and only one of that large 7-8 inch clean purple one that the clownfish will not get into.

reefkpr has been giving good advise. Don't get over whelmed the first 3 weeks concentrait on the water quality. Watch the anenome if it stays small and never opens and then peals off the rock get it out before it pollutes your water. At the end of two weeks if anything looks dead and not improving take it out. Note: the zoo's and mushrooms can stay they may take longer to come back but they should.
The hair algea in a long term problem once you know what is going to survive go from there. Rocks with only hair algea on them can be removed and scrubbed clean with old tank water from water changes. If you use regular water the rock will have to recycle. Its okay, but do not do this to more than 20% of your rocks in a one week period.

THANKS TO EVERYONE! i have been members of all kinds of forums from -- helicopters to tractors to guns to cars and truck. i know new members can be a sort of a pain. i just did not think i had the time or knowledge to bring this tank back to life and i sort of panicked under the pressure. now that the tank has been set up for near three days every thing is looking so much better than when i first picked it up. i just did not want it to fail due to the fact it was already under stress and then needed to move.
so thanks again to EVERYONE. this post will most likly turn into my diary of chaos and progress.

Just some things you asked for identification for and I don't think anyone said anything. You have a lot of Ricordia. One of my favorite little corals because they're fairly easy to keep, and still very pretty. The brown polyps with the green in the middle are a type of Zoo. Meowzer mentioned the other mushrooms too. I know nothing about anenomes, so cant' help you there. Sorry. =) Good luck though, I'll be following along for sure.

found a great little store in town and was talking to them. (very knowledgeable) and he said the spiny thing is a heart urchin. (had one in stock there at the store) said it was reef friendly and very benificial. the little guy has some damage on his back from exposure to the sun but looks to be moving along well. here is a pic of the belly. and a pic of the frt. the fella at the tropical store said i should be feeding the coral and such so i picked up some "kent marine" microvert invertebrate food and gave them a dose... boy oh boy did they open up. i didnt realize how much they can expand. everything is looking good so far.
although i did have a mass of goo under the anemones that the clown resides in and he seems to have been eating off it. i went ahead and removed it.
