LOL...WELL I just realized this topic was about JUMPERS :)
SO I will tell you what happened last night.....I was sitting at my laptop in the fish room (imagine that) all lights in the tanks went out and moonlights were on, I was on the phone, and got up , but heard an odd noise "ON" the 29G....well the NEW striped blennie was flopping on top of the egg-crate
luckily I was right there, and then he fell back thru it
SOOOOO...I wonder how long he will last :( I really don;t want to do the screen on this tank......

Up at the home improvement stores they carry some plastic screen that is made for keeping leaves and debri out of gutters. The holes are a little smaller than they are on the egg crate and won't diffuse quite as much light. I'm looking around for some that comes in larger rolls. The ones they make for the gutters are to narrow. I could always make a wood frame and stable them in layers to the frame I guess.

How silly of us..... maybe we should all ditch our open top systems for a hooded system like Burrito's..........

hahaha, Burrito, i think you are starting to see at least part of the conundrum here.
Open top = fish might jump
other part has to do with closed top and I'm too lazy to fill you in on that right now...

Did you try looking in the outside garden area by the pond supplies?

lol no I haven't yet. I probably will look again this weekend. If not I'll order something off the net. Found a site with more different types of netting that you can shake a stick at.

Did you look at the configuration I did? Now I cant remember if you have a canopy or not. Mine has a canopy but I put some screen over the overflow and back of the tank. I posted some pics in here some where.
