Whats up sexy lady,,,,, dang i didnt know u setup a new tank. I havent been on here really lately, Just been stressed and everything so just been chillin but maan i come to see your new tank and im like wow. Totally impressed. Super awesome aquascaping you got going on and i can now see why nwdyr wanted to pay you to come do his tank. LOL. yours looks like a pro. I love it. And i know you are going to do great with it so i dont even have to tell ya anything bout all that. Hey also i have a quick question while you are awake. i am having probs in my aquapod with my zoos, I have found 2 different rocks now that are completely disappearing :( Its like they are melting or something. do you have any iidea what is this problem ? I try to take pics of it but they wont come out good enough to tell whats going on. Thanks if u know and wonderful work on your new tank. Try not to be up at 3 am like nywdr and looking for killer crabs and all that stuff. Its fun though to bring out a red flashlight and look at all the pods and other critters crawling around though. Well goodnight and have a nice weekend.
Blazin'!~ There you are! You've been MIA for awhile! Sorry to hear that you've been stressed. :( Hope things will get better soon.
Yeah, I was saving up money to upgrade the lighting on my 29, but then I decided that I wanted to give Picasso clowns another try, but I also wanted to keep my n-a-k-e-d clown pair because I've absolutely fallen in love with them, so I figured the only way to keep both pairs was to set up another tank!
So this is what I did last night. Thanks so much for the compliments! I don't know how "great" I'm gonna do with this one, so I'll still need everyone's help and advice.

I posted a response in your thread regarding the palys and zoas; hope it helps some.
and I don't know about me being up at 3am to look in this tank for nasty critters. I love sleep too much to be doing that!~

Lmao first day and u already have more coral and corraline algae then me(lmao i don't know i might be even with u now),(but i will never beat ur tanks
).
Really nice and if u got the LR from one place to another fast im pretty sure u won't cycle at all.
Also what are those yellow stuff?>
hey blazin if i was u test all ur water and then do like 3-6 (5 gallon) water changes in the next couple of dayz
awwww.... thanks so much, and it does not look "a billion times better" than your tank!

Well, the only reason why my tank looks like this already is because I got some awesome LR from a fellow local reef club member who sells all kinds of cured LR for $3.75-$4.00/lb. The yellow stuff is sponge. The rock was submerged in water from export to transport, so that's probably what helped me not go through a cycle.

First off KAT74's tanks are purely A M A Z I N G . . .
Then I read in one of her threads that she is planning on getting Picasso clowns!

Thanks, Saltyshogun!~

Yep... gonna try Picasso clowns one more time.
The first time I tried, the pair that my LFS got in for me were disappointing. Not nearly as much extra white as I'd hoped for and they were from ORA and were supposed to be the Type A ones. This time, I am going to get them from SWF.com because I've seen some nice ones come from here. Lauren (DeMartini) got a nice pair from here. So, we'll see! If all continues to go well with my tank and parameters continue to be stable, I'll order them at the end of the month.

Are you saying all of this as my "cyber hubby" because it's the "right" thing to say, or do you really mean it?

Thanks all the same... you know I appreciate ya!~

WE HAVE PIX!!!!!!!!!!

It looks sooooooo good! I want your LFS to get LR.

Pics were posted just for you.

My LFS doesn't have LR that looks that good, I got it from a fellow local reef club member!
His garage is full of different huuuuge containers of all kinds of different LR and he charges from $3.75-$4.00/lb for it. ALL of his LR is cured and has nice colors on it. I'll definately be getting all of my LR from him in the future!

Okay, Day 2.... parameters are as follows:
T: 80.4
Ammonia: 0

PH: 8.2
Nitrite: 0

Nitrate: 0

SG: 1.024
Yay for no signs of a cycle!!
Gonna keep an eye on these parameters and check them everyday to see if they remain stable. Plan to add my CUC if things continue to go well, on Tuesday. MAY add a coral or two also... not sure yet.
The mushrooms opened up and seemed happier today

and can you believe it?? I didn't change anything with the aquascape today!~

There are lots of nooks and crannies to put frags, etc. so I didn't move anything. And I at least have a little opening for fish to swim through.

I'm gonna be getting all my LR from this guy if I need it in the future! I've always been used to paying $8-$9/lb for it at my LFS!

Kat I would say those things even if we were not cyber married!!!
as a matter of fact if my search for my "mate" continues in the same direction as it is, we may have to really get married! at least we have one really cool thing in common!!! there cou;ld be more who knows
My dad is home and they are trying like 6 diff. meds. to control his BP. He takes them at 8am&pm, 9am&pm, 12noon and 4pm. wow!! I hope this works!! he has parkinsons and has been a heart patient for 13yrs, had a quad bi-pass about 12yrs ago, we call him the energizer bunny, and the timex....he just keeps on tickin!!
he has a great sence of humor about all of it. I told him we were going to buy him drum sticks for his b-day so people would think his arms move so much because he is a drummer, like I said our family has a weird sence of humor
hey it works for us
