Looks to be soft. I never personally touched it but when I was looking at the tank the cleanner shrimp poked it and I saw the skin of the candy cane go in(make an indent).
I juts took the PH and pointed it directly at the plate to get the poop and sand off of it. Hopefully it helps it! It hasnt been opening up fully ever since I've spot fed it. So once I fix this problem no more spot feedings for the plate. I might have been irritating it with the size of the food. But generally I tried to chop it down smaller, Who knows

When I blew the "stuff" off of it it looke dlike there was spider webs coating the top, so I'm guessing thats what was bothering it. Most of it blew off with no problem but some other stuff is still stuck on it. I guess I'll have to do it little by little so I dont stress it.

ohhhhhh hahaha i think that has to do with positioning to the camera lmfao you might be taking pics straight on when other are taking them from angles... plus mine are on like a tree, with 4 heads, and they're up in the air off the LR all together so maybe thats why they look more round(no rockwork to go around them).
My emerald is eating the epoxy! lol is ythat bad for it???? I gues theres algae on it but when he clamps down he gets some epoxy with the algae.

So I finally got around to doing my W/C today. I decided to take out my LTP and put it into a bucket and pour fresh SW on it in efforts to get the rest of the poop or w.e off it thats irritating it. Then I decided when putting it back into the tank to put a small piece of LR rubble underneath one side of it to prop it up on a angle so when in the future it does poop hopefully it wont just get stuck on the plate.
All in all I hope I just did more help then harm, but well see what happens!
Also The star fish that came i nthe cheatto is still alive! Some how it survived through the cycle of the tank. I saw it crawling through the cheatto in the fuge. It got a little bigger but its still really small. It looks like a white baby bristle star or surphant star.

I know lol I always hit the t's to fast and put 2 of them. You're always there to remind me how its spelt though ahha. So far the LTP is opening up more but still isnt fully opened. It looks like one side of the plate has lost some of its tenticles, will they grow back?

oh yeah I also cleaned up my sand bed a little, I know you guys sketch out about adgitating the sand but every time I have, I havent seen any ammonia nitrite or nitrate spikes at all. The green all over the sand was starting to annoy me so I'm going to by trying to barly syphin the sand just so most of the algae on the top will collect in a little pile then pick it out by hand. So far the bed is a little less green, but I'll do more next week untill it looks nice and white again.
and yes I tested for ammonia ect. today after I did it to make sure and nothing. I'll probably test again tomorrow to make sure nothing develops.
