Thats what I was thinking,, but I wasnt sure by the way it reacted to me touching it.
Also if it was then wouldnt the zoas which are touching it be retracting also from the stings??? If thats the case, my zoas seem very happy(the ones next to this unknown christmas tree hahah)

So I did a night time look around the tank...
I have tons of different kinds of peanut worms....
2 bobbit worms(really small) in my LR where the candy cane and the xenia is...
And the zoa colonie might have zoa pox.. I see little white dots on some of them which arent moving. The problem is.. the rock the zoas are on, is epoxied to the LR.

WELL...you may have to take it off....if you have zoa pox (??) I believe they need to be dipped in lugols iodine solution...and also fw....

That'll be impossible to do.. this rock is glued, and I mean glued onto pthe other lol.
I dont even know if it is zoa pox though.. I see white specs on some of the zoas (the ones that arnt shrinking) and none on the zoas that are shrinking.
Maybe it sjust how my zoas look? The white specs are really tiny and there near the top of the zoas.

Could be eggs...they would need to be picked off......
You may have to PRY the zoas off...I know it sux...BUT if it is a predator or pox or something....that's what you will have to do.....

I don;t think that's it....they have "stinging" tentacles regardless of wanting to be hosted
I think (not 100% sure) some fish eventually build up an immunity IDK
