You said to buy that also lmfao.. to replace the foam pads in my filter with that stuff

Dont you remember??
filter floss around the carbon pouch then the phosphate pouch, and the pad is going into my refugium where the water flows into the chamber with the cheatto

Yep yep, I packed them really thin since I wont need alot to feed 2 clowns. So Ill just break off tiny corners.
Gonna test my water for phosphates and reef stuff now, then do a w/c

Calcium - off the charts

Carbonate hardness - 9 dkh / 161.1ppm
Phosphates - 0.5
Is there anything that can bring down my calcium? I know my coco worm must be in heaven!

Have you dosed for calcium? You should test again?
Also watch your phosphates....
p.s. what are the cal readings?

yeah I put the phosphate pad in my refugium where the water goes into the refugium it passes through the pad. Then I have the phosphoban media in my filter with some filter floss and activated carbon.
I dont know what the reading was, I kept dropping droplets and it wouldnt turn blue haha so I just gave up after the 20th lol
those tests are titrations i do them in school lol but much more accuratly!

I/O reef crystals.
LOL My whole chemistry course last semester was based on acid base titrations which are the calcium/ carbonate hardness tests lol..
The first bottles in both those test are just die indicators (phenophalen(turns pink to colourless), and methyl purple(the one that turns blue then to colourless))
Your lucky the test kit gives you that chart, the calculations are a bitch! lol. Even the test kit is inaccurate, because you have to get the temp of the water then look at a chate to see what the density of the water is at that temp. then convert it to ml's rather than the conversion thing they give u in the book. then you have to do 3 trials and then the amount of acid or base dispenced... blah blah blah blah 3 hours later you can quantify how much of acid or base is present in a unknown solution. Which in this case base since calium is a base.
Long story short these test are inaccurate! lol But saves you 3+ hours of work to get results haha
