Neither will the PCs. IMO go with either the HQI or LEDs. For every person having trouble with SPS and LEDs there's a person having great success. IMO a 50/50 white/blue split isn't always the best way to go.
wango,
sps wont do good with any type of leds. for some odd reason the sps like stated above wont come out with there true colors. for that just buy t5 or HQI

Shawn when i mean not do good i mean the colors wont come out. Im sure the leds will let the sps grow but if you put the same acro under a led and another acro under MH or t5 you will see the difference. There is no proof im just giving my input on reviews and stories that i heard and saw myself. everyone has there own opinions. some say the LEDs work others say they rather buy MH im just giving my input shawn.

Understood.....I was just merely pointing out that I have seen a few that have had success with leds and I think there's just not enough information to disprove them at this point. I think there are to many variable between the tanks, that make it hard to somewhat pinpoint what is actually going on. You could make the same claim as to 2 individuals using the same MH bulb ballast combination, and 1 suffers poor results, and the other has great results....To many variables IMO.

agreed, there are so many pros and cons no one knows what to pick. IMO i think someone should go with what they want

Alright guys, I am sick of changing my mind every to seconds so I have made my decision on what I am doing. I am going to finish my 36 Bow. I figured it was the best idea because for one I already have the tank and sump/fuge, and I have the tank drilled with overflow on. It's just the most logical idea I could think of. Anywho here she is...a clean slate. I will be posting the new equipment list I have later tonight, stay tuned!

That list looks good to me, Kevin. The powerheads may be a little strong for the 38G tank though. By my calculations with the ones you have on the list are going to give you something like 78x turnover per hour. That's extremely high. Might make a sandstorm in your tank. For SPS dominant 20x-30x is sufficient. In some cases people go upto 50x-60x times but it shouldn't be necissary to go that high in your situation.

Skip the Coralife digital power center......You could also go with a smaller overflow kit as well on a 36 gallon
