I really want to clean the walls of my tank but will that starve the CUC?

no you can clean the walls there should be enough on the rocks nad the sand and anything else like filter, PH, etc...you can clean the glass off it will be alright

Tank has cleaned up nice. QT is cycling.

Anyone know what this red/orange stuff is on the top of this rock?

tank looks great...just get rid of some of that hair algae...whats your idea on a stock list, and is gonna be a reef?

The Red and the orange stuff is a type of coraline. I have the same thing in my aquarium.

Ya I was waiting to see if the emerald crabs would get to the hair algea but they havnt yet so I will just pull it out. Ya its gonna be a reef
stocklist so far:
tiger jawfish
2 true percs
flasher wrasse
bicolor angel
copperband butterfly
2 zebra dartfish
and probably 2 tangs of somekind. Right now I am thinking about trying a white cheek tang along with something else. Maybe a mimic.

okay I would drop the biocolor cuz hes gonna most likley nip your corals, and go with ummm just not get it and do everything minus the angel..

People have had dwarf angels (including the bicolor) in reefs before with success.

yah I know, but a biocolor is one of hte most know nippers...I mean its up to you, but I wouln't risk it..and once its in its hard to catch it...

QT's cycle is coming along. Might have jawfish within the next 2 weeks. What would you guys reccomend feeding a jawfish (tiger jawfish to be exact) and how much should I feed it?

whens the first fish gonna go in..btw your tank is amazing I love the aquascape adn the tonga...it looks great and it looks that way cuz you waited for your cycle and got rid of all teh aglae patiently :-D

cant wait to see some fish adn coral in there

Thanks. I am happy I got the aquascaping a way that I liked it on my first try. QT is still cycling so hopefully I will be getting the jawfish within the next 2 weeks.

First post on these forums. You should feel proud lol. I really like the tank set up you got cant wait to see some fish in it. I love the tall spikey tower looking rock on the right hand side of the tank.

Tank is doing great. Have a little bit of a red slime issue right now but other than that its fine. I am having a lot of coraline growth (lime green and purple mostly). The stocklist is 20 astraea snails, 20 nass snails, 10 cerith, and 2 emerald crabs. Just waiting for the QT to finish cycling until I get the jawfish.
