Its a 125. Pics wont be too excited cuz the tank is empty. All I have is the tank, wet/dry, and the stand which I am picking up soon. I will try to get all my equipment as soon as possible but it may be a while until water is in the tank.

I couldnt wait any longer. Here are a few pics. Sorry the bad quality(I couldnt find the good camera). There will be better pics wednesday when I get my stand and sump hooked up.

first pic is my wet/dry filter. I am still not sure if I should remove the bioballs and make that chamber into a mini fuge.

I ordered the powerheads and RO unit today. I got 2 koralia 3s for the tank and a koralia 2 for mixing salt. I got the coralife pure-flo II 50gpd RO unit. I am saving up for the skimmer and lighting next.

It's finally here!!! Congrats! I would just toss the bio balls, no need to have them since you are doing a reef, just put live rock rubble in it's place and yes, I refuge will be very useful. Look forward to seeing this puppy up and running.

Picked up the stand today. It felt so light carrying it in compared to tank. Took a long time to get the sump and overflow connected but for the most part it is all istalled. Here are some pics.
My cat needed to inspect everything and make sure there were no cracks or anything.

I have a few questions now. When mixing saltwater how do you know how much salt you need? Also if I fill up the tank once I get a pump and salt and let the water mix and age in the as I get the rest of the equipment will that be beneficail for the water? Or does it stay the same after aging it for only 24 hours or so?

The salt I use (Tropic Marin) takes 1/2 cup per gallon, to make the salinity 1.025 (your salt should have instructions on how much). I mixed the water outside my tank in a 32 gallon trash can. Yes, it took a while to fill the tank, BUT if you have a bad batch of salt (and that has happened twice to me) it's easy to dump out and start over. After mixing a few batches of saltwater you might get a film around your trash can, I just took it outside and cleaned it with water and vinegar before starting again. This is why I wouldn't recommend mixing in your tank. I DON'T get a film of any kind in my DT after it's been mixed in my trash can. Now you won't have to wait 24 hours before adding it to your tank (since nothing is in it), just make sure it's mixed well, about 4-6 hours. Hope that made sense. Good luck!

Edit: Also, it's a good idea to fill your tank with regular tap water and run it for 24 hours to check for leaks. Then empty and start filling with saltwater.

So letting the saltwater age while I get my equipment will not make any more of a difference than letting it age for 24 hours?

Can anyone reccomend a good pump for me? I am not sure if there is a max amount of gph an overflow can handle but I was thinking about going with a 1200gph which would be connected to both of my overflows.
