Killer Cbs

I think your tank size and small fish size had a lot to do with it.
I've had my CBS for 3 years and he's not huge like Cranberry's but he's pretty descent sized. I make sure he gets his own food every week and have him with a variety of fish and shrimp/inverts/etc. He doesn't bother anyone but if someone swims over him he puts up his claws like "flexing" his muscles but never bothered anything.
They aren't pointless -- they're cool :D

I have a larger CBS in my 90gal. I wanted a shrimp to pick at leftovers, but my puffer (HI Blue Spot, not my avatar) an ate peppermints and a cleaner. Upon intro, the CBS and puffer had a mighty battle, with the CBS able to defend him off, losing a claw in the process. He is now fully healed with a regrown claw.
I haven't had many problems. He has grabbed my leopard wrasse before, and went for a ride too. I really don't think even in a small tank with small fish, a large CBS and kill a healthy fish outright. Much more likely is the fish stressing to death, and then the CBS doing cleanup.

I really tend to agree with this statement. In a small tank it's possible maybe the CBS trapped a small fish but it also might be getting unjust blame as they flare at passer by's.

I knowall my fish in the 29G were NOT unhealthy...ANYWAY...I have no more fish, my chalk basslet seems to be gone this morning too :( SOOOOO NO more fish in the 29G till the killer CBS is out...just what to do with it is the thing
I guess I can toss it in the 225G...see post 25 for occupants
or the 54g...which has 1 firefish, 2 perc clowns, 2 yellow clown gobies, 1 sixline wrasse, 1 longfinsleeper goby, 1 scooter blennie
HMMMM...after listing that...I am leaning towards the 225G or the freaking sump...LOL
OPINIONS PLEASE
EDIT: I FOUND THE CHALK BASS YAYYYYY...CBS is still gonna go though

Dont put it in the 54g! All those fish i nthe 54g just chill out and usually near the bottom. They'll be an easy lunch for the CBS!

I don't see how the CBS can kill a decent size fish. I see mine take a swipe at passing fish but they seem to dive bomb him for fun. I have a 54 corner and I took off the background so I can look from the back to see what is going on back there. My CBS stays back there in the corner area but this morning he came around the side enough for a few photos.

I want to see a pic of this thing. With something to compare for size.
