You know I was just busting on you.
More of a limitation of space, costs, a 180 gallon that decided to no longer hold water, me waking up 5 or 6 times a night to check my fish tank and plumbing for leaking and well she as an artist has a lot of junk too. (while in college I had about 15 tanks of something in my house) So as much as I do make fun of people for choosing stuff over fish. It was the responsible decision, however I do miss my aggressive tank, just so much more interactive, coral is beautiful, but doesn't match a folwr tank as far as interesting goes. And yes, I did understand you were teasing.
She is however jealous that I love the tank more than her. And I'm a how stuff works person, so to me the filtration is as interesting as the tank, with her she just wants to see the final product, and hate the mess associated with me always "perfecting" the filtration.
She just better hope I don't hit the lotto because I will turn the house into a giant fish tank...

She's not into the whole forums/technology thing. She hates AIM too. I think if she came on here, she'd stay in "The Aquarium" and keep away from the political threads (which is like 99% of The Aquarium anyway) Although she doesn't really know a whole lot about SW fish, she's become very excited about the hobby since I got involved. She used to hate how much money I would spend at the fish store, but then she went with me one day, and we ended up spending over $300 on corals and stuff... and I just wanted to buy another floating hydrometer!
Interesting how easily the roles reverse.

You and I are very similar. And your wife and mine are very similar.

All I've got to say is that it is a good thing I don't have a garage... My wife yesterday was watching HGTV and said I want a garage so I can have tools. Now isn't that a dangerous thing to say. (that is almost as hot as driving a jeep)
I can see it now, sweety happy anniversary here is a router. Now I'm going to make some trim for my custom fish tank stand...

Nah, I was a wife for 10 years. I had to end it though. Long story but he was very mean.
That's terrible, I'm so sorry. Good for you for rising above it and moving on to better things! It takes a strong woman to do that, and we need more of them in this world.

Man, you guys are all whooped. Scared of your wives...you should turn in the man card. My wife knows who the boss is in...oops here she comes....gotta go.

i dunno, guys.....
as much as everyone makes fun of it, I really like being married. The DH and I are good friends - no one tells anyone what they can and can not do, no one makes any weird outlandish demands, and we try really hard to accommodate one another in any way that we can.
isn't that what it's about? I don't get these people who get married to folks who boss them around. The DH and I are each other's PARTNERS, NOT each other's PARENTS. If I wanted to be bossed around the rest of my life, I woulda never left home.
And if I wanted to be bossy, I'd have had a kid, not a husband.

I do to, however I will make fun of annoying things like bobby pins everwhere, because I know, this will never change, and I'm sure living with a boy for the first time is quite interesting... I'm just worried this is her first football season...

How do you explain to your wife that although she is most definitely more important than football, she shouldn't talk to me while the cowboys are playing. Unless you want to discuss the game.

Just ask her if she'll let you talk when she is watching Dr Phil or Oprah unless you are talking about the show at hand. That should explain it to her.

There isn't something that equates.

I have a feeling that your wife is intelligent enough to understand that these games are very important to you. Give her SOME credit, jeez.
