well, I haven't had him for long, but I know one thing he doesn't like... me and my camera, every time he sees me and my thumb over the camera lense he goes berserk! LOL

i wouldnt get too close too soon
i would ease him in slowly to get used to people and cameras in front of the tank

I am thinking about putting a sheet in front of it, since it is in the bedroom, and I go in and outta their a lot, whatcha think?

well, it will either help him get used to it or make him afraid of everything
mines in my room too and i feel it helps the fish get used to people go in and out if they constantly have you go by
no sheet
