wow MHOUP. thats a great start. i would get some more LR. i think thats crushed coral, if it is. I would change it to live sand. i would get rid of the rock thats not live. i have about 9lbs of that in the back. it's not to nice IMO. I think LR would be better. those rocks are cheaper and easier for stacking, but LR is the way to go. looks better and gives you a natural source of filtration.

I am definatly getting more LR and have been debating and reading about changing to live sand. I like the look of sand better but not to sure about the change. :notsure: I have also been thinking about losing the "land" rock (2 big middle pieces) and replacing with LR, but I can't find really big pieces to create the same look.
What to do, What to do......? :notsure:

wel LR is an issue when it comes to having a reef. i love aquascaping rocks. i think it is a huge factor in looks. it's really fun when you have 100lbs of LR to play with. IMO you should have about 125lbs of LR and you can keep some base rock or "land" rock. have funn. oh BTW what are you planing on turning this tank into. FOWLR,FO,REEF ? this would be an amazing reef. good luck
