no, u missed understood him. he was saying he wishes he could get monti caps, but since he only has PC's, he can not........

Actually 460 watts in a 55 is perfect for most montipora caps and they gain great color under under both PC and T-5 set ups. In fact some of the best colored caps I have ever seen were under PC and T-5 lighting. It just takes a bit more than light to keep them happy though. Good turnover in a 55 I would say around 3000 GPH and a constant stable calcium and alkalinity supplementation.

So your telling me there is such a thing as too much flow? I have a monti frag in a lot of flow and the polyps arent showing. Maybe I should move it a bit.

Some older shots. The orange cap was huge, he took up almost the width of my 55g so I had to trade him into a LFS here. Second shot is a green cap with purple rim. Fourth pic you have to look at the very top to see the orange cap.
