I think the bigger they get the less they do it. I have a big honking RBT and I rarely see a bubble.
Yeah, mine is a pretty good size. He split once, but he only split off a little bit, So I got this tiny little anemone! haha but its cool, i'm sure it will grow, plus the small one turned white and has been ever since, so he looks really cool! I dunno if its white because its not healthy or what, but hes been alive and white for over a month now and seems to be doin fine, so I guess i just lucked out! He looks really cool!

It's difficult to watch our parents getting older. She actually came home after a 2 week stay in the hospital on Thursday only to be rushed back on Saturday night. It's her heart, complicated by blood clots in her lungs. I just pray and support my father as best as I can.
On another note.........my family cared for my tanks while I was gone. I am going to run some tests today, my bubble tips are not looking so good. All my corals are looking fine and my clowns have another batch of eggs. Thats the problem with going out of town, I hate leaving my tanks. At least now my family has a better understing of all that goes into keeping them.

At least you have "someone" to help.....I still need to find someone...I can not go anywhere overnight.

MAJOR CONGRATS MEOWZER!
I'm actually going to get a Bubble tip tomorrow. I am excited. A present for my tomato clown I have had for over a year...lol
I am worried though about it eating my fish or shrimp or stinging me. I have heard they are less aggresive but I am still worried.
^Not to hijack this thread at all I am just wondering before I get one.Have you had any of these issues Meowzer?

No...thank goodness...although when I put it in I wore a glove, and when I feed it I use tongs..LOL...I have no missing fish at all...so I would have to say no on that one too....
It eats well though...I give it scallops and shrimp....

Thank you for your info Meowzer

I got the BTA yesterday and fed it during acclimation. It ate the mysis right away. Wore gloves putting it in the tank which I swear I could feel some stinging still. It felt like a build up of static and presure through the glove. I thought it was awesome..hahaMy tomato clown DOVE into it after about 15 mins of it in the tank..haha here are some pics:

I am routing for Bigun and hope he is doing better today after the meds.

The only trouble so far with the anemone is it has moved a few inches and doesn't look as full as it did yesterday. Does yours do this too?
When I was feeding it the other day with the gloves it jumped...lol...I think it is nervous from the move to my tank...lol the clown has not left it. He loves it. So funny to watch him sleep in it at night with the moonlights on...lol

Luckily with this one it has stayed in one place....they will deflate to release waste...as long as they reinflate they should be fine

I have had the anemone for a few weeks now and it has found a place it likes but it wont inflate. It is tiny. Have you ever had this issue Meowzer?
I have been dealing with algae in my tank. I wonder if that is irritating the BTA?

Once (in my many anemone attempts) I had some hair algae, and a green tint in my water....anemone...did not make it....so I do think that algae can bother an anemone....or at least a new one...
