ODD...IDK a lot about anemones...BUT your p.h. is too low....you may need to find out why, and get it up....SLOWLY from what I understand
Based on what you said...that's about all I could think of
Does the anemone stay inflated???

You can try moving it somewhere so it can attach itself. I actually put the foot of mine into a rock and turned the PH's away from it so that it would be able to attach itself.
Oh and FYI I have handled my anemone several times to move it into the tank(once) and feed it and it has never stung me or even given me a rash. BTA's are known for not being very aggressive or venomous. I have seen my fish brush up against it accidentally and they jump big time when they do so I am sure it still has some sting to it. Prolly nothing to worry about unless you have known allergies to bees or spider bites.
Congrats Miss Kitty!! It makes you feel so good when you accomplish something like this huh? Your BTA looks fantastic. Mine is almost the same exact color as yours. Mine almost never has the bubbles but it gets HUGE sometimes. It is amazing how much they can expand huh?

Oh yeah...capet anemones are a different story entirely. I think they are one of the only ones aggressive enough to actually attack a human. A friend of mine was moving a large one (12 inches) from one tank to another and it latched onto his arm and started actually pulling the skin off. When they pulled it off it took some skin with it although just the top layer. His entire arm swelled up and he had little red spots all over where it had stung him. He almost went to the hospital but ran it under hot water instead and the swelling went down over a period of a couple days.

That would be the EXACT reason I do not have one. I don't need any pets that can actually cause me serious harm like oh say a blue ring octopus or something silly like that...lol. No crazy attack anemones or anything, thank you.

Vinegar. For anemone and jellyfish stings, it stops the stinging cells from continuing to contract and injecting more venom. It was on Discovery last night. It's the only thing they know that stops the iracanji(?) jelly stingers and they said it works for the other stinging animals, like jellies and anemones. Don't rub the vinegar in, just poor it over the affected skin and the tiny stingers fall out.

Well my BTA did not make it.I went away for the weekend and the power went out. I have a generator but for some reason my powerhead did not come back on. This led to more algae which I believe is Cyano now. I think the algae had something to do with it the death as my water quality otherwise was till fine.
PH 8.2
Specific Gravity 1.023
Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 0
Temp. 78
Ohwell.. I feel sad for my tomato clown. He misses his buddy and looks for the BTA.

I aggree with you...lol And with Blue Ring Octopus you don't even need to touch the thing to get poisoned. Just touching the water it is in can give harmful effects. I always wore gloves even with my BTA. I never wanted to chance getting stung and finding out I am deadly allergic to the sting...lol
