So Whats Up With Replacing A Mh Bulb Evey Year??????????
I have tried the Odyssea bulbs and they don't quite last a year. After about 9 or 10 months they stop putting off enough light for your corals to grow.
Where are you from? Any where close to Elizabethtown?

Flake food is a terrible thing to do to a saltwater tank. You could end up with excess nutrients in the water and this can lead to excess cyanobacter and nusiance algae.
I make a mix of whatever seafood I have in the freezer, shrimp oysters some white fish squid and whatnot, drop a clove of garlic then add some zoacon a couple sheets of nori and blend it up and freeze it.
ok i might look into that where do you get the zoacon & nori sheets?
water prams
S.G. 1.025
NITRITE 0
NITRATE 2.0
AMMONIA 0
PH 8.2
so what do you think?

You really need to test for phosphates. And continue to increase your water change schedule until the no3's are gone. A good LFS will cary nori sheets (seaweed) and zoacon. You can use other marine vitamins. There are several good ones.
