i thought i read somewhere that octos can fit in anything bigger than their eye.. is this true??
Anything bigger than their beak, which is smaller than their eyes. Only hard surface in their body. Otherwise they can pour their body right through a hole or crack like water.

Yeah, that kinda thing happens a few times a year. Not just collecting rocks or shells but ignorant people not realizing what they are picking up on purpose (cute little octopus) is deadly, and some ignorant people even die from eating them in third world countries.
The octo eating the sharks is an Enteroctopus dofleini, Giant Pacific Octopus. If only I had an entire bedroom to turn into a tank.
I caught him!! finally!!! i tried the bottle thing. i filled it with tiny crabs from the market and i found him eating it. sucker grew a lot! i sold him to my Lfs for 40 bucks. i asked him what kind of octo it was he said it was most likey a mimic but i dont care cause i made 40 bucks

how much are mimics worth?
Mimics are "worth" anywhere from usually $300-750, at least that's what they go for around here and anywhere I've seen them online.
That was NOT a Mimic.
THIS is a mimic.
