Well let's keep in mind that Les (while still an outdoor hero) is just an average guy with some outdoor know how.
Bear is harder than the average man. That guy is an athelete. Think about it. He climbed to the summit of Everest. He served in special forces. Do you know how many top notch soldiers would love to do that but still can't make the cut??? Enough said. I think that's why he doesn't suffer as much.
I'm not undermining what Les does at all. I give him a thumbs up for going it alone but let's be honest, that doesn't make him any better at surviving...
Survivorman would be a great show if it were just a bit more entertaining.
